Besides events dropped and test connection, are there any statistics or logs that can be checked to see if log forwarding from vRLI to a syslog server is working correctly?  Syslog owners are telling me they haven't received any data in a few days.  Opening my log forwarding query in Interactive Analytics shows frequent events. State shows active and events forwarded count grows in log forwarding destination so trying to identify if issue is on my side or theirs.

Need to send user login details and create/modify/delete user or group details to vRLI for security requirement.  In Self-monitoring logging configuration, under forwarded logs, selected Web.  Don't have enough space in vRLI for all Analytics logs.  Is it possible to only send analytics-audit* instead of selecting Analytics or could this be done with Rest API ?

Linux VMs at VM Tools v11.0.5 receiving "Install the VMware Tools package inside this virtual machine. After the guest operating system starts, select VM > Install VMware Tools… and follow the instructions." event in vCenter during power up at which time, vROps metrics for Needed Memory, Memory Usage, Memory Workload go static.  After a vmotion to another ESX host, the metrics start to fluctuate again.  Seeing in vROps 8.4 and 8.6.2 and on ESX 6.7.  Anyone see this before? 2022-03-02T05:36-0600 1769985.5 2022-03-02T05:41-0600 1719438.375 2022-03-02T05:46-0600 1919714.875 2022-03-02T05:51-0600 2172385.5 2022-03-02T05:56-0600 2091913 2022-03-02T06:01-0600 2091913 2022-03-02T06:06-0600 2091913 2022-03-02T06:11-0600 2091913 2022-03-02T06:16-0600 2091913

8 - 5TB nodes in analytics cluster and I need to move 1 node to another cluster in same geographic location due to space issue. Portgroup is same (vDS) but storage will be different.  Is process to take the cluster offline and power down all nodes, migrate the VM and power the cluster back up?

What is the process for changing the time zone to CST in vROps v8.4?  Thanks for any help.

vROps 8.1.1 instance. Looking in Repository, have VMware vRealize Orchestrator 3.1.15876654 Management Pack installed and View Content shows Inventory Trees (0) - no vRO workflows.  Had upgraded from prior vRO Management Pack and do not know if this issue existed in prior version.  vRO is working in the vROps instance but vRO Workflows does not show up in Object Hierarchy so I'm not able to provide Workflow permissions to a group.  Any suggestions to fix?

Received an answer from VMware.  In 8.1.x the rebalance is now a nightly automated task.  So the rebalance adapter, memory, network load to increase efficiency of your environment is all done daily automatically now.  If you'd like to rebalance disk, then you will have to manually do that.
What is process in this version to rebalance adapter instances and GemFire?

Prior to upgrade, vCenter Servers integrated count reflected correct number of vCenters - 97.  After upgrade, Administration / Integration / vSphere - completed validation for each of the 97 vCenters to load new certificate and DID NOT click check box for "Configure ESXi hosts to send logs to Log Insight" but now seeing vCenter Server Overview - vCenter Servers integrated = 11,549.  Interactive Analytics for the widget filters on appname contains vcenter-server and hostname exists.  Prior to upgrade, hostname appeared to only include "vCenters" with ESX hosts listed in events as Source.  Now, seeing vCenters as the Source and Hostname is the ESX Host names in query for vCenter Server Overview - vCenter Servers integrated.  Anyone see same or have any ideas on how to fix?
I can see the services in Flash client but not in HTML5 client.
Identified high number of forward data entries.  Took vROPS cluster offline / online and forward data entries has stayed at 0 and profiles are no longer flopping for the VM.

3 VMs in a custom group that points to a custom policy.  Every 20 - 30 minutes, one of the VMs shows the policy on the object details page for the VM switch between the custom policy and the default policy.  The other 2 VMs do not have this issue.  Any suggestions to fix?
log insight 4.8 - have 90 vSphere agents all using same username.  Any way to update password on all of them instead of individually?
Seeing this issue in some Red Hat Linux VMs residing on same ESX as other VMs with same o/s, tools version and hardware which are showing disk.
