What's interesting here is that I can update vCenter very easily, but updating ESXi not straightforward and requires a linux knowledge. Why is it so difficult?

Hi Andre, I built the server myself. I am a software developer and use the VMs to support my clients. I installed vSphere 7 Enterprise Plus. So, vCenter is running and controlling ESXi. vCenter is running v7.02 ( I was able to upgrade vCenter from v7.0.0) ESXi is running v 7.00 So, I need to know what to do now to patch ESXi. Thanks, Rick
Ricardo, I was able to get the latest ESXi iso. Unfortunately, I am fairly new to this. How do I mount the ISO on the Host? I know how to do this on a VM but I can't seem to find it on the host?

Hi, I have ESXI v7.0.0 install and have been using it for over a year. It is connected to VSphere Center. I have been able to patch vCenter using the Appliance Manager to 7.0.2.00200. I now need to patch ESXi. FYI, vCenter is a VM on the ESXi host. I tried using vCenter to patch the ESXi Host and when I remediate I get the attached issue. I don't know how to fix this since vCenter is installed on the host. If I shutdown vCenter then I won't be able to patch ESXi. Please help! Rick

Hi all, I have ESXi v7 with a Win2016 server setup. I want to use the USB device but I don't see how. Is this a virtual or a physical device? If physical, it doesn't see the USB drive inserted into the 3.1 slot. If virtual, how do I load data into the virtual device so that the Server sees it? Thanks, Rick

Hi Scott, THanks for replying. 1. I don't know what SCP is. 2. I have tried the Export but when I load the exported files to the other ESXi host, I can't start the new host. Its says something like the file is corrupted. I only have Windows 10 so the file may be getting corrupted when I download it. 3. vCenter is very expensive. I am a small business and with everything going on, I can't afford it at this point. Do you know if workstation pro 16 will do this for me better than Workstation v15.5?

Hi Scott, We need to be able to clone for testing and also for backups. This will happen on a regular basis. I don't have vCenter. I do have Workstatiion Pro 15.5, but this will only let me copy from vmWorkstastion to an ESXi server not between ESXi Servers.
Hi, I have 2 ESXi servers, IPs 10.0.0.10 and 10.0.0.20. I have multiple VM servers created on .10 that I want to duplicate on .20. How do I do this? Thanks, Rick
