PowerShell Gallery | VMware.VimAutomation.Hcx 11.3.0.13976786 Currently located on the powershell gallery at version 11.3 and seem to be working as expected. We use these to stretch networks, move vms and check status. This is far faster than using the gui

its a RDM. Expand on the storage platform, rescan the storage devices on the esxi host(s). the VM might pick it up, if it doesnt, remove disk and re-add.
Contact the vmware licensing team with your order number etc and you will be able to retrieve them.

If you plan to bulk create thousands of tags in vCenter create a snapshot. I created thousands using powershell as a test prep move from annotations + extra to tags and it ended up making the entire system unstable. Opened up a support call with VMware and they were unable to help as they had not seen anyone with so many tags. I also had tags vanish and it got to the point where you could create tags but they never appeared
Lucky you, we are stuck waiting on backup solutions etc to support 6.7 U1
Hi is there a particular reason why you added a hard disk that size rather than archiving it to NFS which you can manage?
Did you have storage failure and have you dont anything with the ESXi host since it has been rebuilt like a rescan or a reboot? Was the datastore disconnected or in a failed state previously?

You would be adding complexity that is not really required (apart from very specific environments) if you were to take these to vm level. I would keep the disk and network managed by VMware rather than the VM. Do you mean directpath i/o for a nic or do you mean two vNics added to a VM?
this is a vm vs physical system discussion. The answer is... it depends as there is no 'better' only pros and cons
6.7 is not a major release no (features yes but product no). If you purchased a 6.x license you can update to 6.5 and 6.7 without changing keys etc.
I do not see the issue with logs that have been shrunk? If logs are an issue just stick the database into simple mode. What are the chances of you actually using the logs in recovery etc

This is not a fix i is a workaround and VMware listing this as expected behaviour is a bit of a joke. As mentioned in earlier posts VMware are aware of this and hopefully in a few months time this will be fixed. I have only ever noticed this in HP servers that support 2 cpus but with only 1 cpu installed. as mentioned by another member this is alerted based on the missing fans. 2 CPU configured hosts seem to appear fine. It is not a show stopper just a warning you need to ignore for now.

Not too sure if anyone has told you but after stage 1 you can snapshot so before you attempt stage 2 you dont have to sit through the long wait of stage 1. Where are you running the installer from and have you checked the dns from there? is the time correctly setup and have you tried installing it to another esxi host. I assume firewall is not blocking anything?
Angenito A bit of a late post but is this a HP server? if so is there any reason why you did not use the HPE Custom ESXi ISO and is the server / device and drivers on VMwares compatibility list?
Do you have any third party plugins? The HTML5 version for us is rapid and we have thousands of vms etc. The Flash client is slow but still usable.
anthony747 is v6.7 the first you have tried since the thick client? Are you using the HTML or the flash web client
