@Stephane8, Seems download and install of the VMware Skyline Health Diagnostics using the ISO install media file has been deprecated starting from version 4.0 onwards. Well, I see we have OVA as well as an Patch bundle available for 4.0.1-22433617 to download from customer connect portal which could be used to perform upgrade for offline environment.

@Krassus, 1. Make sure the ports (443 and 7444) are open and connectable between vCenter/Hosts and Skyline on the network. 2. If there is a firewall make sure there is no SSL filtering for Skyline 3. You could try to connect with vCenter using the curl command below, Open the console of Skyline VM curl -v https://vcenterfqdn:443 curl -v https://vcenterfqdn:7444 4. Lastly, You may try to delete the vCenter from Skyline Collector and re-add afresh.

@prabhakarnaidum, The communication issue for an endpoint usually occurs due to either of the following reasons: There is an issue with the account used to add the product to the Skyline Collector. The account password may be expired, or the account is disabled. Edit the product in the Skyline Collector user interface to update the account.                                                                                                            OR The product certificate has been updated. In this instance, the Skyline Collector needs to accept the new certificate. Edit the product in the Skyline Collector user interface, including re-entering the account name and password to accept the new product certificate. To resolve the communication issue, re-configure the product endpoint with Skyline Collector. Do refer to the following steps to re-configure the endpoint: Login to the Skyline Collector UI page (https://IP_OF_COLLECTOR_OR_FQDN). Go to Configuration Tab. In the left pane under Products, Select your product. In the right pane, click on Edit. Re-enter the password in the password field. Click Update. Click Continue on the new Thumbprint message. After completing the above-mentioned steps, the product endpoint will be re-configured successfully.

@vtfreddy, I guess your vendor is referring to Skyline Health feature available within your 7.x environment and not lifecycle manager. VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle (formerly vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager) is solely used for product lifecycle management and content lifecycle management. Please refer this product page to learn more on the new Aria Suite Lifecycle. vSphere Health in vSphere 6.7 is used to assist customers in a self-service manner, by discovering environmental issues and even best practices by analysing telemetry data collected from the vSphere environment. Now, the same feature is called Skyline Health and this feature is enabled by joining the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP)  Whereas on the other hand, VMware Skyline Collector is a standalone virtual appliance that automatically and securely collects product usage data that is sent to VMware and analysed. The analysis of this data is then presented to you within Skyline Advisor. You access Skyline Advisor via VMware Cloud Services, using a Customer Connect username and password. So, please discuss with your vendor again and get this clarified. Regards, Shen
