You need to meet all the "required" elements of whichever path on this page applies to you: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html If you don't currently have a VCP, then yes you must attend authorised training to meet that requirement. If you have not met that requirement, you do not hold any certification, you cannot claim to be a VCP.

Hello, I want to know about the VCP-DCV 2023 certification. This certification must be needed to attend the training course or not. If I passed the VPC-DCV 2023 exam, I would not attended the training course. Can I claim an official certificate?

Only this exam is viable for VCP-DTM: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dtm-exam-8-x.html As per this page: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dtm.html There is no time limit between taking a course and passing an exam. For as long as the training you took counts towards the certification, you have that time to pass an exam. You are correct that if you pass the exam in 2023 your VCP would be 2023 rather than if you waited til January. The exam guide which you can get from the first link I posted lists the topics covered in the exam, I don’t know of any study guides or practice questions.

Hello I'm going to pass the VCP-DTM exam. This will be my firs exam of VMware. I have a few questions: 1. Which exam to choose 2V0-51.21 or 2V0-51.23. What are the differences between them.? 2. I had VMware Horizon: Deploy and Manage course (October 2023, one week ago). How long can I wait to pass the exam after training? I am considering whether it is better to take the exam in November, December 2023 or January, February 2024? When I pass the exam in November 2023, the title will be VCP 2023, and if in the new year, VCP 2024? 3. Where can I find sample questions so that I can prepare as best as possible? English is a foreign language for me and I am afraid that I may not fully understand some of the questions, hence the need to practice with sample questions. I would like prepare for the exam as best as possible

If your VCP is VCP-DCV 2020 or 2021 or 2022 you can update it to 2023 by just passing a single exam on either vSphere 7 or vSphere 8. If you previously passed the exam on vSphere 7 you can’t attempt it again so would have to do the exam for vSphere 8. If your VCP is VCP-DCV 2022 you have an alternative option of taking authorised training to give you the credit to update to VCP-DCV 2023 - you don't even need to do an exam.
