Hey Bibin, I guess it depends on your exposure to design. If you're coming at the exam from an operational perspective, you may struggle with the "design" aspect of the exam, rather than the technical side of the exam. For instance, differentiating between functional and non functional requirements. Determining Risks, Requirements, Constraints and Assumptions. You don't want to spend too much time revising technical aspects and not concentrating on your approach to design.  To that end, i would recommend the VMware vSphere Design books by Scott Lowe as well as the pluralsight course "Designing VMware Infrastructure" or the vBrown Bag Podcast series for the VCAP5-DCD, while the tech has moved on the design methodology still applies. Dont neglect vSAN or BCDR study either. These all helped me pass the VCAP6-DCD
Nothing hits home like repetition. Build, Break, Rebuild. 60 days is a long time
The vMA isnt on the VCAP5.5 blueprint. I passed the 5.5 VCAP exam having had very little exposure to the vMA & no pearl knowledge, I exclusive used PowerCLI. Hope that helps
As I understand a VCDX5 design can be any version of 5 5.0 5.1 5.5 I believe you can also submit a version 6 design, although you will only be assigned a VCDX5.

After the release of the VCDX6-DCV certification which i'd expect around the same time as the VCIX-DCV release, what will be the time scale on defending a VCDX5 design? Would it be right to assume that the October VCDX5 defences will be the last availble oppertunity or will a VCDX5 defence be availble next year for those people who have yet to transistion their VCAPs to VCIX6?
My understanding is that VCDX is built around the Zachman framework, although I'm sure the others would be sufficent
There's an offical blog post here by Paul Sorensen where it's mentioned http://blogs.vmware.com/education/2015/03/migration-paths-v5-certification-v6.html
