Hi Pauline, while I can't confirm whether the issue you faced was part fo the exam and/or environment itself, which required working through, it looks like you didn't report the issue. I recommend any time something like that happens, while the proctor is unable to assist, after the exam please send a note to certification@vmware.com. The team can look into the specific issue, the specific exam attempt and determine whether there was an issue or if it was part of the exam and result of actions taken within the environment.
Hi Tajudeen, here is the link to the exam page. Click on the Schedule Exam button from this page: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcta-dcv-exam.html Thanks, Karl

If you haven't already, the exam is available again as of this week. You will be able to reschedule your exam. If you haven't received notification from the support team, you can also try to reschedule the exam on the Pearson site. It may not be up today, but early this week, pending Pearson opening up the registrations again.
There are no HzC exams on the current roadmap. You can take the current exam to upgrade now, and pass HzC exams to upgrade to 2024, etc when/if they are released.

The HIVE courses for employees do count towards the prerequisite training. The back-end should be communicating to each other, recognizing that completion. If you haven't already, send an email to certification@vmware.com with your specific case so we can take a look. Maybe we'll discover a gap in the data communications. Thanks, Karl

Yes, you will receive the exam report showing that you passed the exam. You will not receive the certification badge or transcript though until you complete all the requirements.
Greg, I hear you. While I don't have specific information on our development roadmap, we are very aware they need the 8.x updates and working towards that end.
It's the same certification but with the updated new exam (and new exam number). You can read more here as well: https://blogs.vmware.com/learning/2022/05/19/vmware-spring-certified-professional-cer...

I also received this from one of the course developers: From my experience, NSX-T plays a pivotal role in the vSphere with Tanzu architecture, and would strongly advise completing the NSX-T Deploy and Manage course. Without a full understanding of this one may struggle with a lot of the networking and troubleshooting side of things. Thanks, Karl

Thanks Scott for all the replies! I agree, it's a little confusing, as we've been migrating the Pivotal legacy exam and credential over to the formal VMware certification program. Here's the net-net: - no training required if you take the legacy Pivotal exam, which is the older version (EDU-1202) - training is required if you take the newer exam (2V0-72.22) The change had to do with the old program requirements vs the newer VCP standard requirements. So, if you'd like to take advantage of the non-required training, there is the option of passing the older exam up through June, but be aware it is an older version so may not reflect the latest product updates and changes.
For this particular exam, the N represented the move of the exam to be available as online proctored. They are identical exams, the N version will just allow you to take it remotely proctored.
Yes, that is the case, before that older exam retires. Note it is on older versions of Spring and so may be a bit more difficult if you are working with and more used to current versions.
Hi Baz, With the new Spring Certified Professional, the requirements have changed and do require a course attendance. As options of the course become available, they will be added to the web site.
