Good afternoon,   Attempting to install the Perl CLI via the VMware-vSphere-Perl-SDK-7.0.0-16453907.exe download, and receiving the error in the attached screenshot after the program starts installing. The host OS is Windows Server 2016 version 1607. I've tried removing/reinstalling, running as Administrator, and re-installed the Visual Studio C++ redistributable packages, setting app compatibility to Windows 8, to no avail. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.      

We are attempting to install the VMware-vSphere-Perl-SDK-7.0.0 package, but the application errors out with the following message: "Error 1722. There is a problem with the Windows Installer package" Please see attached screen shot.  Despite this error, the program shows up in Programs and Features, but it's throwing an error trying to run the credstore_admin2.pl file, so I would like to rule this out as a potential problem before troubleshooting that issue. I have tried removing and reinstalling v 7.0 and v 7.0 U2 with no luck. Host OS is Windows HyperV Server 2016 version 1607. Thanks.
