Hi, sorry foolish of me. I am running VMware- fusion 8.1.0 on a MacBook pro High Sierra with a virtual copy of Win XP. This is just for a legacy genealogy program. The MacBook had been off for some time and when I attempted to load the VMware I received "dev/wmmon" missing? In attempting to resolve this I checked the various logs, there were numerous lines stating that items could not be loaded because files required were in the application folder and it did not exist, checking for the applications folder I was unable to find one. Update as I have been unable to resolve the missing dev/wmmon I have wiped the MacBook hard drive reinstalled High Sierra and reinstalled VMware and rebuilt the Win XP. I am at present unwilling to fiddle with the VMware files as I need to complete a genealogy project I am working on. I would however appreciate any information as to why I should lose "dev/vmmon" in the first place and why I would have no Applications folder when VMware seems to need it?
