This is a friendly reminder that the End of General Support (EoGS) for VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x is January 16, 2022. There is an additional one year of technical guidance which ends on January 16, 2023. During the Technical Guidance phase, VMware will not offer new hardware support, server/client/guest OS updates, new Security patches or bug fixes unless otherwise noted. For more information, visit VMware Lifecycle Support Policies.    While VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x will continue to function past its End of General Support date, we encourage you to begin planning your transition to the next generation of the VMware NSX Data Center product, which is delivered as NSX-T Data Center. VMware NSX-T Data Center protects your existing investment and enables new business cases including the following:   Container based networking and security for Kubernetes  Networking and security for native Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure workloads  Security for physical servers which are not virtualized  Improved operations and analytics with NSX Intelligence  New security features such as IDS/IPS and the NSX Advanced Threat Protection capabilities  Advanced networking features such as VRFs, EVPN, and GENEVE  Federation across multiple NSX deployments     VMware has a variety of resources that will aid existing customers of NSX Data Center for vSphere in the transition to NSX-T Data Center. Please see the Migration Resource Center for what offerings are available to you as a customer.   We’ve also launched an assessment tool to help customers understand how to migrate to NSX-T. Once you’ve completed the 8-minute assessment, you are eligible for a complementary Expert Hour to discuss your project with a migration expert.
