Just kicking the tires on AppVolumes 4 for the first time and wondered if newly assigned application shortcuts delivered to the desktop require a new logon to a VM or is there an svservice command line or .exe that can be run that could refresh/generate a newly-assigned app to a user's desktop instead of them having to logoff and get a new VM.

What log are you finding that entry in?   You mentioned, "At First,I see "id = UserOrGroup/Uy0xLTUtMjEtMzg5NDk2NzgyMy0xNzUxNDI3MDA5LTI3NDI0NjQ5NzYtMTc2OA" in your log."

We were on Horizon 7.8 and display scaling was working fine.  We upgraded to 7.13 and display scaling no longer working.   I removed the 7.13 agent and tested with the old 7.8 agent and display scaling worked again.  For us, 7.13 agent broke it.  Ticket opened with VMware.

I have the exact same issue.  I've optimized, deleted all store apps, set network gpos to disable automatic updating of store apps, tried local, tried registry.....nothing so far will stop this updating of store apps upon a new user logon.  I'm at a loss at the moment.

Have same issue with Win 10 store apps like calc and sticky notes.  I ended up pushing a powershell script at logon to reinstall those store apps that are essentially gone.  Crazy...

Any way to configure the full client disconnect message?   Sounds foreboding to users the way it is written:  "Are you sure you want to disconnect from this desktop.  You may lose your work, the desktop will be shutdown in 1440 minutes."   Yes, that is our standard force idle disconnect time but we're talking just a disconnect.   The older, simpler message of only asking if a user wants to disconnect is better.    I can't find anything in Default Configurations, GPOs to configure that message.   Thanks.

Are there any backward compatibility issues with upgrading UEM to 9.6 and still having 9.3 on the linked clones temporarily until a scheduled golden image refresh?

Is it possible to disable this from running at logon?  It adds too long of a delay at logon.  I've tried to simply disable the service but it still runs and I can't find where it's spawning from.... See more...

Ha. Found the needle in the haystack.  Wasn't Profile Unity or Folder Redirection policies but this policy under our default user policy that was set to Enabled: Administrative Templates--Desktop--Prohibit User from manually redirecting Profile Folders Description: Prevents users from changing the path to their profile folders. By default, a user can change the location of their individual profile folders like Documents, Music etc. by typing a new path in the Locations tab of the folder's Properties dialog box. If you enable this setting, users are unable to type a new location in the Target box. I changed it to Unconfigured and that allowed UEM Redirection to work.

So I moved the user to an OU that doesn't have the organization GPOs, including Profile Unity, in order to troubleshoot and narrow this down.  By doing so, folder redirection works.   So now a ma... See more...
So I moved the user to an OU that doesn't have the organization GPOs, including Profile Unity, in order to troubleshoot and narrow this down.  By doing so, folder redirection works.   So now a matter of adding them one at a time, starting with Prof Unity to see if that breaks it.   Progress at least.

Thanks.  Unfortunately, even putting those in the config don't seem to be working at logon or logoff.  I'm missing something...

OK, trying that.  What I'm seeing is Desktop folder created on share but nothing syncs like you would expect to see.  Does it required Microsoft Folder Redirection to be enabled as well or am I missing something in the UEM configs.  Seems pretty straightforward but anything I create on the desktop doesn't sync to the share.  Or vice-versa, creating a file on the share doesn't sync to the desktop.

Coming from Profile Unity and am trying to determine how to capture locally created desktop icons and files and have them roam in UEM.   Profile Unity would copy them up to the share at logoff and back down at logon. Advice on how to best do that in UEM?

Having the exact same issue.  Haven't been able to nail it down either.  This poses a real issue for us if this can't get resolved as we have USB scanners up at our front desk registration areas.
