Hi, Sometimes, just after a logoff from a previous session, users are waiting +/- 10 minutes on "Applying audit Policy..." at logon before receiving their desktop (event viewer : GPO users applied event 1503 : user ProcessingTimeInMilliseconds 682484).  It seems that something is waiting for a timeout from the previous session. We are on the latest version (9.1.0.175).  If we wait between 2 consecutive sessions, no problem. Found in logs-1.log :  Logging to this file because configured log file '\\XXX\UEM_PROFILE\buijspa.DOMAIN\logs.log' is in use. Any idea? Thanks, buijspa

Hi All, We use the drive letter for our home drive (defined in AD under the user account properties). We noticed that often (not always), only when we use the appvolumes disk, our drive is not mounted at logon. I saw that the CVApps disk uses the drive letter (the first free letter during logon process) and, when the mounting process is finished, CVApps does not use this drive letter anymore : It seems that there is a collision between the Appvolumes service using the drive (first available drive letter) temporarly and our Home Drive mounted during the logon process. This is very annoying because our homedrive is not mounted when the logon process is finished ( ex : no folder redirection etc...). Could you confirm this behaviour? Is it a way to avoid this "collision"? Thank you for your help! buijspa

Hi All, I'm working in an Institution using 24 different languages, the keyboard settings are very important. I've noticed that some keyboard settings are saved but are not applied when the user logs on : In the keyboards.zip -> Flex profile.zip : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\CTF\SortOrder\Language] "00000000"="00000402" "00000001"="00000405" "00000002"="00000406" "00000003"="00000407" "00000004"="00000408" "00000005"="0000040b" "00000006"="00000410" "00000007"="00000413" "00000008"="00000418" "00000009"="0000041a" "00000010"="0000041d" "00000011"="00000426" "00000016"="00000427" "00000012"="00000809" "00000013"="0000080c" "00000014"="00000816" "00000015"="00000c0a" In the Workstation registry (regedit) : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\CTF\SortOrder\Language] "00000000"="00000402" "00000001"="00000405" "00000002"="00000406" "00000003"="00000407" "00000004"="00000408" "00000005"="0000040b" "00000006"="00000410" "00000007"="00000413" "00000008"="00000418" "00000009"="0000041a" "00000010"="0000041d" "00000011"="00000426" "00000012"="00000809" "00000013"="0000080c" "00000014"="00000816" "00000015"="00000c0a" All the other settings are working well, only the keyboard settings cause problem. Hi Christophe, Bad news - here is the answer from VMware support :   "At the moment, keyboard sync over PCOIP from thin/zero clients is not currently supported." They wrote a kb article  http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2064865 (not available at the moment I'm writing this comment) They suggest the following workarounds :   1. using a windows client 2. Dedicated pools or desktops with a matching default in the guest o/s for the client-side keyboard. Both of these workarounds are useless for us (21 different keyboard layouts in our Institution) but maybe interesting for you... Cheers, Pat

Hi Christophe, We opened the ticket few weeks ago.  I sent all the asked informations and I've been contacted by VMware support team. We're waiting but I think I'll escalate to VMware benelux team. We've also upgraded to 5.2 : same results. We're using Wyse P20, P25 and Samsung NC220 but the problem is still there. There's no problem with the VMware software client@PCoIP. I'll keep you informed. Cheers, Pat

Hi Cievo, Problem solved ! :smileycool: I've got other programs writing on %Appdata%/SAP/tmp and crashing.  I presume it is the same problem. Do you know if I can put all the sudirectories under %Appdata% in Merged mode, including the %Appdata%/SAP and %Appdata%/SAP/common subdirectories which are in DirectoryIsolationMode=Full by default after the capture? Is there any risk or side effect to do this? Thanks for your help ! Buijspa

Is that correct? Is this the good configuration? Do you need to see the package.ini file to debug? Thanks for your help ! Buijspa

Hi All, we are trying to thinapp SAP GUI. We followed the VMware Solution Readiness document "Virtualizing SAP GUI with VMware Thinapp". Normally, for some text editing, a word component is integrated in sapgui. To do this, it downloads a word template "SAPscriptWord2007". There, the problems comes. With the thinapp, the sapgui downloads the file to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thinstall\SAPGUI\%AppData%\Microsoft\templates Which is logic, as it is the thinapp location. But then, it tries to load the template from C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates Test made: - delete the template in both template directories - start thinapp sapgui, and start the text edit application => error message displayed: cannot locate template - template file found in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thinstall\SAPGUI\%AppData%\Microsoft\templates - copy the template file from C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thinstall\SAPGUI\%AppData%\Microsoft\templates to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates => textedit application in sapgui works. I don't know if it is a problem of SAP or Thinapp Could you help? Thanks for your help ! Buijspa

Hi All, we are trying to thinapp SAP GUI. We followed the VMware Solution Readiness document "Virtualizing SAP GUI with VMware Thinapp". But when we are trying to open some PDF documents, we received a error message : "The system cannot find the file specified" pointing to the SAPGUI.dat file (see attachement). Any idea on how to link a local (physical installed) PDF Reader with the thinapped SAPGUI ? Thanks for your help ! Buijspa
