yes sir.  you are correct, that is what i did :(.   I upgraded with Enterprise and everything is ok.  do you happen to know if the agent between standard and enterprise is the same?

If i uninstall 2303 and reinstall 2203, the menu items are back.   Has anyone else experienced this issue with DEM 2303 upgrade
So build number, not version number as  Quickdraw mentioned?

I figured this out.   I was trying to connect directly to my Horizon cloud pod URL instead of using the Universal broker URL.  I am able to logon using the Universal Broker URL. However... I have MFA enabled on my pods.   I have Windows SSO and maintain windows username enabled on all of my UAGs.  I can successfully authenticate, but i am prompted twice for my password.  Once before the MFA prompt, and again after the MFA prompt.  Is this normal behavior?  I cannot find any reason that it is doing this.

I have deployed a Horizon Pod into Azure and I was able to create RDSH farms and VDI desktops. I have two issues when trying to logon.  1. My pod is configured for MFA.  When I attempt to connect, I get the first logon prompt, I enter my credentials and then I am prompted for my second factor.  I respond to that, and then i am presented with another box where I have to enter my password again.  I have maintain username enabled on my pod.  Why am i being prompted the second time for my password? 2. After I enter my password the second time, I get this error message.  The best I can ascertain is this is because no user assignment exists.  But I have created a user assignment for myself.  Nothing I have tried will get me past this error. Any help is appreciated, thank you

I have four connection servers behind an F5 load balancer.  We are using the standard https(443) health monitor on the F5 to monitor the connection servers.  This works OK if the connection server is down, or the services are stopped, then the F5 will stop sending connections to the server.  But if I disable the connection server in the admin console, the F5 thinks the connection server is still active because the server is up and the services are still running.  This causes issues because the F5 is still trying to send connections to the disabled connection server, which the connection server then denies. Does anyone know what is occurring on the connection server when the Disable button is clicked?  This does not stop any services as far as I can tell. Or does anyone have a suggestion on using a different health monitor on the F5 that looks for something other than https?

sorry, my screenshot didnt paste The error is You are not entitled to that desktop or application.  I know I am entitled because I can run it by just opening the client and selecting the published app. I opened a case with Vmware and was simply told this wasnt supported.  I know I had this working once before, but it was on and older Horizon Version and older Horizon client version.

I am trying to create a shortcut on users desktops to a Horizon Published App.  I have installed the Horizon client in my VDI template.   I can get UEM to create the shortcut to the published app, but when I try to launch it, I get this error. If i just open the Horizon client with my VDI session and login, I can run the app just fine, I am entitled to the application. anyone have any ideas?

We recently ran into a similar situation.   We just stood up a new Horizon 7.12 environment and decided early on to provide some sort of grid ram solution.  Long story short, we went with the nVidia T4.  We didn't really have a clear goal in mind, just that we wanted to purchase all the hardware up front because we had the budget.  Not being familiar with the nVidia hardware, we didn't really ask the right questions and found out after the fact that it doesn't support sVGA.  What we have decided to do is provide 1gb of video ram for knowledge workers and 2gb (at least for now) for CAD users.  We can have up to 2 different grid profiles in our single cluster because each of our hosts have 2 T4 cards.  Another disappointing thing we found is that with the "Grid Virtual PC" nVidia licenses that we purchased; we can only do up to 2gb of grid ram per desktop.  In order to have more than 2gb would require the "Quadro vDWS" license.  I have not had any issues with vMotion of grid assigned desktops between hosts.  One thing I need to be cognizant of is how many grid assigned desktops I have deployed at any one time to be sure that there is sufficient resources available to perform host maintenance. It would be nice if there was a grid profile allowing 512mb of ram...but unfortunately there isnt. We are still in the early testing stages for CAD users and I have not rolled our grid ram to all knowledge workers yet.  Baby steps...

Has anyone noticed in Horizon 7.12 that the admin gui does not seem to use the global timeout settings?  I have the View Administrator Session Timeout set to 900 minutes.  Sometimes it logs me out after 5 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes.   By settings to 900 minutes, i should only have to log in once per day and the session should never timeout.   It seems like I am constantly logging back into the admin gui.  This happens with both the HTML5 and FLEX guis.

Hello All I am currently running Horizon 7.6.   I am using Windows 10 LTSB build 1607 for my desktop pool. My windows 10 template has no software other than the base OS installed in it.  I am using AppVolumes and Thinapp to provide users applications. Here is my issue Each month I need to apply the new Windows 10 LTSB patches to my template.  So I power it on, connect to windows update and let it install any patches it finds.  Then I shut down the template, take a snapshot and push the new image to the pools.   The problem I have is that nearly every month (not always though) something with SSL gets broken in windows.  I can tell this two ways, we use SAP and if I try to connect to the SAP web portal using IE, I get this  (note, this does not happen when i use Chrome) And also if i try to run my vsphere client thinapp, i get this. I thought I had this narrowed down to being caused by Adobe Flash patches, but this month I did not apply any flash patches and I still have this issue. I'm not sure what other functionality this may affect. Just though I would run this past the forum to see if anyone has experienced this...before I open cases with Vmware and Microsoft. thanks.

Running Horizon 7.6 with Windows 10 LTSB as my desktop Image using instant clone.   I am also using AppVolumes and giving each user a writable volume.   Users to do not have admin rights on these desktops. The app management team accidentally included the view desktops in a collection that pushed an unwanted piece of software.   Now that software install is actually located on the users writable volume.   I tried to use UEM Privileged elevation to grant rights so users could uninstall the app, but not having much luck. I have tried: Path based elevated to c:\windows\system\msiexec.exe Argument based elevated for c:\windows\system32\control.exe appwiz.cpl Path based elevated to the Program Files directory of the application none of this has worked.  Has anyone successfully used UEM to grant rights to uninstall apps? thanks

so...and update on this issue.   I does appear that the thinapp assignment was removed, but the icon was still hanging around because it was being stored in my writable volume data.   The only way I could find to remove the icon was to delete my profile folder and my writable volume and rebuild my profile.  Once I deleted those items, the icon disappeared.

Why not just use a MAK key?  That is what I am doing and I don't have any activation issues.

Thanks ArnoM.  I have read that article, and that is how i set up UEM and profiles.  I have had this working for a few months and all of the sudden those other folders from the redirection settings don't appear in my profile share.  I have the UEM profiles archive setting in the GPO pointing to the same path as the folder redirection settings shown in my first post.  What i can't figure out is where in the archives is desktop data stored?  As I mentioned, i tested by creating a file on the desktop, logging off and back on, and the file is still there.  But I can't find that file in my UEM archive.
