Is it recommended to share the same connection servers for internal and external (with UAG in front fro external traffic) access? Or not to share the same connection servers(replicas) Couldn't find any design documents on the best practice for internal and external traffic and the implications if we choose any of that 2 options Would be grateful if anyone can share your thoughts or related documents. Hi, Has anyone encountered an issue with W10 Start button not able to function after restart of the View Desktop? W10 parent image preparation: i) Install W10 (version 1607 build 10.1.14393) to VM(vmxnet3, vmware tools installed) ii) During installation, was asked to create an administrator user (as the built-in administrator is disabled by default). Created an User (eg. admin) which has administrator role. iii) Install Horizon agent 7.02 iv) Network setting using DHCP. Shutdown & take vmware snapshot. View Desktop pool configuration: Horizon 7.02 i) Create pool : - Automated Pool > Dedicated (with Auto assignment) - View Composer Linked Clone - Redirect Windows profile to a persistent disk enabled - Redirect disposable files to a non-persistent disk enabled - Storage : VSAN - Quickprep (with allow reuse of pre-existing computer accounts) Issue: i) View desktop able to be deployed correctly and joined to domain and user able to login ii) Windows Start button able to work correctly (left & right mouse click works fine) iii) However, if the View desktop is restarted, the Windows Start button left mouse click is not working anymore. Restart the View desktop again will not work either. Note: i) Tested with W7, (with above settings); no issue. ii) Tested with W10 with floating desktop; no issue iii) Tested with W10 with View "Do Not redirect Windows Profile", no issue. Did I miss out any steps in preparing the parent image? What is the best practice for setting up a parent image for W10? Thanks in advance. KH

I have an environment whereby user Client machine will connect to the Connection Server(CS) thru a Load Balancer(LB) SSL will be terminated/offload at the LB, therefore the connection from View Client to LB will be HTTPS and the connection from LB to CS will be HTTP No Security Server setup as this is for internal connection On the Connection Server: - Configured both Connection Server 1 and Connection Server 2 to accept http traffic by creating the locked.properties files (KB 2146314) serverProtocol=http - Configure HTTPS secure tunnel URL : lb.example.com:443 (to point to my LB) Ports required: From Client Machine to LB : port 443(HTTPS), 4172(PCOIP), 8443(Blast), 3389(MMR) From LB to Connection Server : port 80(HTTP), 4172(PCOIP), 8443(Blast), 3389(MMR) I am able to connect to my View remote desktop using PCOIP or Blast display protocol BUT NOT with RDP display protocol. I get the error : "The connection to the remote computer ended" (after I selected the Desktop Pool) Do I need to allow port 443 (from LB to Connection Server) if SSL is offloaded to LB? Hope anyone with the same scenario can share the configuration steps. Thanks!

I have 2 existing up and running standalone View Connection Servers, say CS1 & CS2. Both of them have their own pools & users desktops config Is there a way to merge them together to become replicas so that they can start replicate data to each other? I know that I've started out wrong, I should have installed CS1 as the standard server & then install another machine CS2 as replica server, but things have already being done! Is there a way to merge it?
