Hi, All My question is about license restrictions with vSphere for Desktop. Let say, I have View Bundle lic (100 VM), and I run 100 View desktop VMs on some ESXi servers with "for Desktop" license. I know, that I can't run servers VMs on this hosts (exept VMs View Brocker, Composer and etc) but what about VMs with desktop OS? Can I run on this ESXi-hosts desktop VMs, not managed by View (I mean, without View Agent). For example VMs for testing pathces. Will it be EULA violation? In all documents I see only restriction on guest OS type: Q: Can I run other server workloads on the vSphere that is included in View? A: No. The vSphere and vCenter components of the View bundle are restricted to desktop deployments. A desktop virtual machine is defined as a virtual machine running the following operating systems: Windows 95/98, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows Vista Business, or Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows 7. I have 4 hosts with 75 VMs in my vSphere environnment. 4 CPU is recommended for large infrastructures. If you use direct connection between View Client and View Desktops vms (default settings, tupicaly in LAN), Connection Server maybe no need so many resources. IMHO, you can started with 2 vCPU for this vm and look at performance. If you will detect high CPU load in guest OS - add one more.
There are some differents in customizing default profile with SP3: http://www.standalone-sysadmin.com/blog/2009/07/changing-the-windows-xp-default-user-profile/

No, it's something like "smart" external HDD: http://www.zalman.com/ENG/product/Product_Read.asp?Idx=431

I've literally tried everything I could think of to get this working but the devices fail to install and even when they do, as soon as I reboot the machine the printer goes back to being undetected or has problems being seen in the vdi session. This is regardless of whether or not the EWF (enhanced write filter) is on or off. Sorry, for some stupid question, but is your printers work well with desktop PC with Win 7? Maybe you can ask MS support about about working Dell's printer with WES 7.

I think, it is possible. Try to run View Client with key -standalone But it seems, that this is not supported.
What type of desktop pool do you have in View environment? Any sysprep activity or "Refresh after reboot"?
Which memory counter from vCenter Performance tab did you use to determinate high memory usage?
It seems that View 5 is not released yet. In my opinion after release, of course it will be fully supported.
Did you try to install from here?

I think, first of all you should read View 4.6 Admin Guide Another docs you can find here: http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/view_pubs.html
I can confirm, it should works well in domains with two way trusted relationship.
