You shoud pay attention at the end of my post. I am not saying that you should not read antivirus messages. Instead you shoud read them attentively. What exatly Avira says? Month ago Avira was detecting a virus in Imagine plugin for TC. This occasin was fixed in newest updates. Many antiviruses detect virus in EXE which were compiled from my own BAT in EXEscript 3. I'm repeating: The most antiviruses "scream" on well packed EXE because it cannot be analized. Antivirus thinks "Hard to analize - so it is suspicious!"

IMHO: 1) People should use their brain instead of antivirus. 2) We should look which one exactly antiviruses were alarming. I can't se any popular among them. ThinApp is packed by itself. This package cannot be unpacked by some or all antiviruses. So the only thing that we can see on virustotal is various reactions on unpackable EXE.

Can't you use ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault and ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions Yes, I can. But if my virtual application is a dock (sidebar launcher), then I can't know beforehead which process will be ran from this dock (to add it in exceptions). Or I've something missunderstood.
Are there some news about further innovations. The mostly I'm interested if there will be something about running external applications by the vapp NOT INSIDE VIRTUAL BUBBLE.

I expected that this application will use 512 RAM on users computer but it didn't. Why did you expect it? There is no difference where this app was captured. The memory usage is the matter of original application (mostly) if it needs 1024 MB RAM and you have it (or you have more) - the app will take it (so virtualised app too).
the 4.0.3 build work, but the 4.0.4 build doesn't This is not a question. It is a fact. Xenocode doesn't emit a proper DVDFab executable either This too )))

I have two things to tell you. 1. Questios: What is the motivation? Do you understand all the possible issues? 2. You have two ways: - One sandbox for ALL apps. Just create empty project, which contains virtualised cmd.exe (entry point) and the preferences that you like. Every application can be ran with the command like d:\virtual\cmd.exe "c:\Program File\Winamp\winamp.exe" or any some coplicated. - Separate sandbox for every app The same actions but commands would be like: d:\virtual_Winamp\cmd.exe "c:\Program File\Winamp\winamp.exe" d:\virtual_Aimp\cmd.exe "c:\Program File\Aimp\aimp.exe"
It is not first issue, when latest build of ThinApp doesn't works with some apps, which olders work well. Biggest problem in DVDfab is packer on main EXE.
I just want to ask. As we know, new version should support Win7. But what about running on Win7 this version application with AppLink plugin, which was made with an older version?

Why do You think that You get the standart system CMD? Try to run CMD point (the main package must be beside of it) on the machine, where your application is not installed. Then in CMD window: CD "_path-to-program-files_" Then: DIR After that you should see your application folder, but standard CMD can't see it. If not then you've made something wrong.

And what did You expected to get. When You include those entry points you are getting the cmd and regedit, whish runs in the virtual system. So with these tools You can see the files and registry entries which exist only for your package. If You pack the program with such structure: -Program Files _L AppName ___L Folder1 _____L ... ___L Folder2 _____L ... ______... so on the machine where "AppName" is not installed system CMD won't see these folders in Program Files dir, but the entry point CMD of your package can do it. The same story about registry. Earlieas videos off Thinstall were containing some of subscribed tricks, but now I don't see those videos.

Microsoft, Simantec, Citrix, Xenocode,... Do you really expecting on discussion about ALL those products in THIS forum? I can only say, that I like ThinApp for single executable, which doesn't need any control center. In case, the same reason why many people didn't like it And I like wery clear project settings (not Xenocode which has beautiful... but pure and uncomfortable interface). AND! Still waiting for Win7 support...

I know about CachePath parameter in Package.ini. But what should I do to place it in the sandbox. I can put the sandbox and cache in the same folder, but I need to put the cache in sandbox with no difference where the sandbox is located - in user profile or in Thistall dir with the main executable. If the cache would be located with the main exe, users woul need write permission in it's folder.

This was just a sample. Thinapplication can be unpacked in two cases (no instructions, only cases): - No access to app folder, but there is a dialog window with option "All files" - There is access to folder. Then no deal with dialog window - application can be copied and (or) unpacked then REpacked without your protection scripts. No cracking. Using only ThinApp.
