You could create an "app group" under apps & books > application settings > app groups. Create a deny list and then add the application package name. This would remove the application completely from the device. Using Launcher as a kiosk mode to only allow certain application to be used is always a good thing too.

How are your other subnet users getting the application that is desired? Google play, APK? Are you assigning the application by OG or SG? If so, are only the subnet users apart of the OG or SG? If its a lot of users... this probably won't work below but not sure what your number is. I would make a copy of the Launcher profile all users are current using and add the desired application to the new profile. Create a new SG & OG. Add that to all the products/apps/profiles that current users are getting besides the Launcher profile and add it to the new profile you created instead. Then switch the devices OG to the new one. This will not cause installs or re-installs by already completed products and will allow just the new Launcher profile to install while also leaving alone your other users.

Using the payload in the profile is very janky imo. I found it did not work once edited and devices only took the setting using a fresh profile. It was very weird so I resulted in using the XML and placing that into the custom settings and got better results. Example: <characteristic type="com.airwatch.android.androidwork.app:com.android.chrome" uuid="REDACTED" target="1"> <parm name="URLBlocklist" type="string"> <![CDATA[["*"]]]> </parm> <parm name="URLAllowlist" type="string"> <![CDATA[["myworkday.com","google.com"]]]> </parm> <!-- REDACTED --> </characteristic> I attached an image if you plan on using the payload. An * in blocked will disable all websites and then you can add websites in the allow list for what users should be using. Should be the same format for bookmarks.

How it was installed? I opened a ticket with VMware and they stated "Hub gets downloaded on it's own if the below setting is enabled on the UEM. Also, the version will match the CN version of your environment. Settings > devices & users > Apple > Apple macos > intelligent hub settings > Check if install hub after enrollment is enabled." Under settings > Device and Users > Apple > MacOS > Install Hub after enrollment is enabled but we are currently on Console Version: 22.9.0.20 (2209) & I see hub verison 20.08 being installed.

Hello, We recently had the main AirWatch Mac Admin leave our company and I have been left with some questions. We use DEP to enroll the macs into AirWatch but I am wondering how the hub application is being installed? I have looked all over the setting and do not see where the app is being pulled from. It is Hub 20.08 every time and I know its a very old version so it must be a file stored somewhere... What are the possible ways to install intelligent hub for Mac? https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workspace-ONE/services/intelligent-hub_IDM/GUID-28049087-F7AC-47D1-BD72-199A1D94B0ED.html#:~:text=In%20the%20Workspace%20ONE%20UEM,Save%20your%20changes. "Install Hub after enrollment" is enabled.
@RandyLahey Have you thought about trying to use VMWare's Assist application (remote capabilities, manage files, command line)? No popups required by the end user either. Love the name btw lol.

I am not familiar with AnyDesk but it sounds like you don't have the application inside the Launcher as a visible application? You can add the package name as a hidden application in the Launcher profile. If you go to setting while inside the Launcher on your device > Block applications. You will see the package ID. In the profile under Launcher in the console. Go to miscellaneous and click "add an app". Application name can be AnyDesk and add the application ID you found in blocked application. Then add the application as hidden app.

If you have multiple payloads in the profile. I would suggest creating a new profile with just one payload in it. Provision your device to it and monitor. Then repeat the process by adding one payload each time until the issue is replicable on your testing device. With multiple custom settings in a profile. I have seen this before. It is suggested by VMWare that if you only have "Launcher" custom settings in one profile. If you for example want to add a custom application custom setting. You should put that in a separate profile.

Hey SRuiz78, I use google chrome on Tab Active devices in Launcher (kiosk mode). I have seen the payload for google chrome settings in a profile can be janky. I resulted in using an XML instead... Go to "Profile & resources" then "profiles". Create a profile with just google chrome settings. Once it is saved, click the circle white box and click on XML. You can then copy what settings you are wanting to set/block. For example, I used this below: <characteristic type="com.airwatch.android.androidwork.app:com.android.chrome" uuid="REDACTED" target="1"> <parm name="AutoFillEnabled" value="False" type="boolean" /> <parm name="ProxyMode" value="system" type="string" /> <parm name="PasswordManagerEnabled" value="False" type="boolean" /> <parm name="SigninAllowed" value="False" type="boolean" /> <parm name="URLBlocklist" type="string"> <![CDATA[["*"]]]> </parm> <parm name="URLAllowlist" type="string"> <![CDATA[["Google.com"]]]> </parm> <!-- REDACTED --> </characteristic> This will allow you to block all websites. You can then create a profile under components and just use the XML you desire in a separate profile from anything else you have. We use a proxy on devices which could block this as well since we are on a Private APN and Private Wi-Fi network but better to have it blocked multiple ways. Would highly suggest suggesting a proxy. Would also highly suggest using Launcher and only giving what is needed to workers.
