Hey, I know this is not new by any means - but I was wondering if anyone had any luck finding a way to remove the eyesore of an error message since it's of no use as we clearly have entitled users coming from a global entitlement:     Thanks!
Thanks @Merb - had a peek and that seems promising, much appreciated!
Good question - I'm curious as well ... again for testing packages you are assigned to, and not as a way to "bypass" anything.
That's great news indeed - even if it just partially resolves your issues! Can anyone else also confirm that the patch works for their environments?
Hey @kendalgoodrich, That sounds like promising news - please do keep us posted on the progress and if it works or not!

Wow @Lieven, impressively detailed reply - much appreciated!  I'll give it a try in your infra and let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the time and effort you took to reply!
Anyone happen to have had a similar situation with multiple keyboard ⌨ layouts in Horizon pools?

This may have come up in the past - but I could not find anything clear-cut so here goes... We have a Horizon infra that is used by various folks arounds the world and for the most part the current language/keyboard config works well enough.  In the golden Win 10 images we have baked the requirements to have a US Keyboard and a Canadian French keyboard - both of which are QWERTY format.  At this point we now have some European users that need France French keyboard which would be AZERTY format. I would ideally like to keep the number of golden images to a minimum for support purposes - and if possible avoid having the keyboard installed for everyone to avoid user "confusion" for most of the non-France users. With that in mind I suppose my options would be to either: Bake the new France French keyboard into the golden image so everyone has access to all keyboards Leverage DEM somehow so that I am able to make the France French keyboard available to only a select set of users that request it and no one else I would much rather the second option and use DEM but I'm not sure if that is even possible and then if so, how could that be actually implemented.  For example would that even go under the Personalization or User Environment sections of DEM?  I've dabbled in keyboard settings with DEM previously and it was not the simplest/cleanest thing to accomplish - so I'm trying to avoid any pitfalls if possible. Soooo ... my question to the rest of the fellow Horizon/DEM Admin folks out there is: if you have encountered a similar situation how have you handled it, and what suggestions or examples would you be able to share? Thanks in advance for any help with this, much appreciated!

Well we have F5s and you seem to also, but CTRIM above makes reference to a UAG but not specifically an F5 (we don't have any UAG).  So it's tough to say if the F5 is part of the culprit without having a larger sample base of other folks with issues I suppose. Does anyone else with the issue I wonder have the following combinations? Just and F5 and not any UAG (like myself) Just a UAG and not any F5 A combination of UAG and F5

They had never asked us to disable that when we were investigating, and to me that seems a little excessive to test in a "production" environment that is actively being used! It's also frustrating that at least in our case the only change in the infra that triggered these messages was moving from Horizon 7.x to 8. Also interesting to note is that our larger prod infra has the messages where as a smaller hardly used one does not have any - although both are using F5 appliances. 🤷‍

At this point the customization seems to be timing out - this may be a cause or a symptom so I'd tackle it first to see what is the culprit so far. From experience, I've had strange issues in the past at a certain point where Win 10 (did not affect Win 7 at that time oddly) VMs being created with Horizon would not get their network (available and ready to use) right away and could take several seconds which ate up time that was allocated for the customization.  It additionally caused GPOs not to take effect properly since the network was not present right when it was needed. In my case I had to get crafty and both extend the customization timeout (I suggest you do this at least for testing) and also created a script that runs when a VM is created which waits for network presence and only then will if force a fresh gpupdate /force.  I also included logging in the script to help see what steps take longer and what would fail.  While it is not fancy and may not have fixed the unicorn root cause it did the trick flawlessly in my case of getting my Horizon pools to work. So again, I'd say start with trying to extend the customization timeout (https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon/2203/virtual-desktops/GUID-5EBD194C-EDC5-47F7-AD3C-D8A9559253A8.html) and then also hop onto the VM that is failing to see if you can see what errors or issues inside of it may be going on. Good luck - issues like this are always fun since there are so many moving/automated parts.

Hey @CTRIM - we've been having the same issues of the Alert "Detected Unrecognized Requests" being displayed on Horizon's Dashboard similar to the following since we upgraded from Horizon 7.x to 8: When we drill into the details for the affected CS a bit more we don't get much better info except that there are "XML API Unrecognized Requests":     We don't use UAGs but instead some F5 appliances in our case.  Also the server may vary as well as the number of unrecognized requests - oh and in fact sometimes no CS are actually listed ... just that there are issues .  We tried to poke VMware support for more details on this and they came to a similar conclusion that they were just "noise" and could be ignored. Unfortunately I'm not super thrilled about that response since as I think was mentioned, it kind of makes a mess on the Dashboard's System Health section and could lead to accidentally ignoring real alerts.  I wish there was a was to totally suppress these alerts if they are indeed totally ignorable ... aheem VMware gods if you are listening ... In any case - anyone come across a fix of sorts that they know works please post it here.

We had an issue not too long ago where all of a sudden seeming random corporate laptops running the Horizon View Client (which worked fine before) would generate massive log dumps to the point where it would fill up their C: drives and cause both the app to crash as well as the physical machine become very sluggish/unresponsive (the VM being connected to was perfectly fine). We went back and forth with support for a while until it was determined in our case that a recent update to an Intel driver (pushed via SCCM) was the culprit. Once the driver was either reverted to an older version or update to a newer one things went back to normal for those users with problematic laptops. So perhaps too little too late to help you @SimbaLiu but this may be of help to others hopefully!

I've been toying with the idea of having multiple versions of VS available at the same time - this should come in handy.  Thanks! Just wondering if in your environment multiple versions are available at the same time or since they are all in separate app stacks that users will only have one at a time available for use?
Thanks for that - I've been looking to cut some of the Chrome "bloat" out!  Will give this a try!
