1908 is a bust. The last thing I see on my 2 test devices, a BB Key 2 and a Pixel 2, is ' enabling SAML' and then just the whitescreen we were seeing prior to 1907. I've just enrolled an iphone X in the same environment and there is no issue with the SAML configuration. I know I can get to device owner mode with KME, but their workaround to use some other enrollment method, what would that be on a Blackberry or a Pixel? Canada doesn't have ZTE yet.

Just wondering if anyone else is seeing an infinite ' Enrollment is in progress' screen after using AFW#HUB. The Hub downloads, I scan the QR code for our environment and then it just stalls there. I am updating to console 1908 on Wednesday in hopes of a resolution.

I'm testing Boxer again, looking like my only choice for AE COPE. When I counter a meeting Boxer says I'm busy but its for the event I am countering, am I missing something? Update, I tried shifting out another hour to avoid overlapping but I can't accept the new time? Known Boxer Android issue?

For an AE exchange device profile I still see target endpoints as Gmail AirWatch Inbox (long since retired I thought) Managed Productivity App On a Samsung Device, in an AE context, what would be the Managed Productivity App? Samsung Mail is not picking up any configuration.

I'm in a similar situation as OP. We've used device Admin for almost 2 years now as we encourage a work/life balance so your work phone is yours to use as you like. We have one additional wrinkle in that when travelling to the US, due to FIPA, we have to remove all work materials from the device. No problem under device admin, people just un-enroll and then re-enroll. This is not so easy under AE running a work managed device as an unenroll is a full factory wipe, pictures, SMS, all gone. A work profile is not sufficient for our security requirements either. Was thinking of using maybe a smartgroup to remove the corp email when the device is roaming, but that feels flimsy.

Hey Boe, This is part of the problem, I have literally a handful of devices that are android 7.0, running airwatch agent and are reporting as running an AE work profile. This is impossible in our config as AE is restricted to 2 AD security groups with zero people in them. So I am looking for 2 things, that this issue is not more widespread, filtering on AE enrollment to confirm, and looking to confirm that this mix of old android and old agent are misreporting an AE work profile.

Hey Hen, From my interpretation of this post from google, everything should still be working under the Device Admin Model with Android 9.0 still. With the release of Android 9.0, the following policies are marked as deprecated when invoked by a device admin, but the APIs otherwise continue to function. Starting with the 2019 release, the following policies will throw a SecurityException when invoked by a device admin: USES_POLICY_DISABLE_CAMERA USES_POLICY_DISABLE_KEYGUARD_FEATURES USES_POLICY_EXPIRE_PASSWORD USES_POLICY_LIMIT_PASSWORD Some applications use the device admin for consumer device administration, e.g. locking and wiping a lost device. The following policies will continue to be available to enable this: USES_POLICY_WIPE_DATA USES_POLICY_FORCE_LOCK USES_POLICY_RESET_PASSWORD

I am looking to create a console Admin role to allow a person to manage VPP sToken renewals. The global Console Admin can do it but that is way to much access. There is a permission specifically for renewing sTokens but I can't build a path of permissions to get to that section of the console.

I think I am missing something here. Console 1811, Android Enterprise in COPE mode, fully managed device, I go through the google play store iframe to make a weblink and it pushes to the device but only to the app tray. Some consistant shortcut behavior would be nice here VMWare. Anyone sorted out how to predictably present shortcuts for something like Boxer and Weblinks under AE?
