how's the virtual graphics card configured in the VM/Golden Image? Make sure there's enough vram for the resolution. If there is enough the client should resize the resolution of the monitors.

since 2209 Horizon kan keep a forensic hold on machines, it might take some work but it should work in this case. https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon/2309/virtual-desktops/GUID-9B386F81-AA24-43EA-919C-A0C391AC8499.html I assume you don't want to have the instant clones persist all the time
what do you see in the vm during provisioning? Does it get an ip etc etc, is it getting added to the ad? Also check dhcp. Another question: do existing clone's get rebuild correctly?
I would strongly suggest to post this on a fslogix forum as well. But as far as I know crowdstrike still needs exlusions to prevent things being slowed down.

look in vCenter directly you should see activities around the template / parent / replica vm's in there. 15-25 minutes is acceptable since it's only once per pool per image deployment. You can deploy the new one as secondary image and have it ready to fo for days before updating the desktops themselves.
That could be a million things but some things I would check check first: does the template get a proper ip address if it does is it getting joined to the domain

Even in my pretty slow lab it's usually about 15-20 minutes for a new GI to be ready for deploying desktops. ANy desktop after that is a matter of seconds.

try to switch and go to a single monitor full screen and see if it makes a difference. If it does talk to your client and see what the max amount of monitors & resolutions is that they support. Horizon itself only goes op to 4 monitors anyway https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Horizon-Client-for-Windows/2306/horizon-client-windows-installation/GUID-750BC399-8897-4872-B50C-6D252CC0FF31.html#:~:text=To%20use%20the%20vSGA%203D,only%20one%20monitor%20is%20supported.
I assume you are talking about haproxy? I would have a look at Michiels blog here: https://itpro.peene.be/haproxy-health-checks-for-vmware-horizon-appvolumes/

isn't it mostly that it's the incoming firewall that is blocked and not outgoing? I would do it in dem for flexibility so you can use the admx template with the correct app group. Usually for sucn an app you would only be required to open a firewall port on the license server and not the application side.

How are you using Secondary Images or don't you use them at all? For the next version of the Horizon Golden Image Deployment Tool I am considering dropping the machine selector for secondary images and replace it with an option to apply it to the first, last or random XX percentage of machines as the selector probably doesn't work for huge desktop pools.

a long time ago I made this vCheck for Horizon and should convert it to rest api's but it will still work with any version for sure. https://github.com/vCheckReport/vCheck-HorizonView
