Hello, I am trying to use the guest login on Shared iPad for business. Goal is to let guests use the iPads and delete their data between each guest logins. But my deployed apps are not showing up. I understand that the apps on shared iPads are deployed to users but is there a way so that the guests can also use the apps ? Basically, I need to make all the deployed apps available to Guest sessions and then delete the app data when they sign out. Thanks!

This feature is important. Do you know if anything has changed to manage this feature ? It would be great if we can manage it via custom script/profile.
May or may not help but try to not open multiple WSO tabs. Keep just one WSO tab open and try uploading the new token. Multiple signed in sessions once cause a similar issue in my environment.

Anyone knows if there is a Guest only shared mode in WorkSpaceONE. I heard some MDM offers it. No credentials are ever needed to login. Device resets all the data when a guest logs out.

We are not able to find a pattern as it is very inconsistent and happening on various iOS versions as well as Androids. We are on-prem 20.11.0.33 (2011).

Hi @JanOlschewski There is a folder on device servers that seems to be holding the certificates before they are released to the devices. C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\Request\Certificates To fix the issue, I renamed the folder to backup > repushed the profile to devices > it will automatically create the "Certificates" folder. I renamed the folder on all the device servers and it has been working for us. Good luck!

I had a similar issue with app assignments after upgrading from 1907 to 2001. I did not get the "door locked" page but every time I edited an assignment, it threw a "save failed" error. We had to manually turn off the WS1NsxMicroserviceFeatureFlag since we are not using the nsx integration. It fixed the issue for me.

Hello All, We are having issue with wifi profiles which contains user based certificates are not installing on Apple devices. It started this week and impacted newly enrolled devices. It is very inconsistent though. Sometimes the profile with certificate is pushed within 5 minutes, and sometimes it keeps failing. Under "Troubleshooting" in console, it shows certificate request failed and "Thread was being aborted." message. It keeps trying every minute, so I am guessing that it might be throwing a lot of pending actions in the queue on servers. We are on-prem, 20.1.0.25. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello All, Anyone experiencing issues with auto joining the network after the private address disabled via xml payload. Our corporate network profile uses certificate based authentication. After the private address is disabled, I could not rejoin the network. I get a prompt to enter my credentials and received the notification to trust the new certificate. Further attempts to join results in “Unable to join the network". I had to repush the network profile to restore the network connectivity. Thanks!

VMware said that sTokens must be migrated from the Legacy VPP portal into Apple School Manager in a specific order, and if those steps are done incorrectly, it will break the relationship between Workspace ONE and Apple School Manager. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2960505 Only option is to clear the sToken from Workspace ONE. So long as your VPP apps have a duplicated assignment under the Public tab as "On-Demand" with no restrictions enabled, it will keep the app from being removed.

Hello All, I am getting the same error while uploading the new token. We were using the legacy VPP portal until last week. Then we generated a new token in ASM on 11/05 with a new location and uploaded in AirWatch. It gave an error while uploading but then reflected the renewed date .i.e 11/05/2021. So it looks like we were able to upload the new token in AirWatch and then somehow it was revoked. Now we are trying to renew it again and getting “uploaded stoken is not the renewed version of old stoken”. If I try to clear the revoked token, I get a scary warning that "Deleting the sToken will uninstall VPP applications purchased for your VPP account from all assigned devices and revoke the license." We have some applications that need to be configured manually on the device. If we lose apps after clearing the existing token, then we will be in big trouble. If you cleared the existing token and uploaded a new one, did you lose applications ? I am hoping that the warning message is like a threat and it gives us a grace period to assign licenses in ASM. Hello All, I am experiencing an issue while adding and editing app assignments. I recently upgraded WS1 from 1907 to 2001 patch 25. Post upgrade, everything is working except application assignments. I get "Save Failed error" every time. I cannot even edit the existing assignments and change the license allocation. It does not matter what kind of application it is or what platform it is for. It just fails every time. VPP and APNs are fine. Test Connection Over HTTP/2 - Successful. Any suggestions ? Anyone knows of API calls to add and edit applications ? Thanks

I experienced the same issue on pixel device that are running OS11. We are On-prem running 2001. The error is cause by the DB not having the OS file that matches the enrollment of the device. To resolve this you will want to run the latest OS seed script file to update your DB. The file contains all OS updates, but if you want to confirm what's within the file you can open it with notepad ++. OS Seed Script: https://resources.workspaceone.com/view/gcbjqx3jlwq5krkx9v3p/en If you are not sure about the seed script, I suggest opening a ticket with VMware as they are aware of this issue.
