Hi there, i know there are severals thread with this problem, but i cant find any working solution for me and want to ask again in a seperate discussion. We are trying to roam userprofiles for Windows 10 with UEM. My problem is that the start menu is not working if youre trying to login to a different VDI. Has anyone a working concept which he can share with me? Ive followed different solutions: Mysteriously Disappearing Start Menu Tiles and Roaming User Profiles | Ask Premier Field Engineering (PFE) Platforms and FIXED! Roam the Windows 10 Start Menu in your VDI environment. but no ones is working for my ltsb. Mostly i have 2 different problems. On some way the logout process is hanging, the vm does not log off the user after hours. In this case, the settings are complete unusable. The other case is that the logon is working fine until you trying to log on to a different machine. After that the start button does not show any menu. At the moment im trying the follow settings with uem: [IncludeRegistryTrees] HKCU\SOFTWARE [IncludeFolderTrees] <AppData> <LocalAppData> <Desktop> <Favorites> [ExcludeFolderTrees] <AppData>\Microsoft\Credentials <AppData>\Microsoft\Installer <AppData>\Microsoft\Protect <AppData>\Microsoft\Windows <LocalAppData>\ConnectedDevicesPlatform <LocalAppData>\TileDataLayer <LocalAppData>\Temp <LocalAppData>\Packages <LocalAppData>\VirtualStore <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\CLR_v2.0 <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\CLR_v4.0 <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Credentials <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\GameDVR <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Group Policy <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Input Personalization <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\PenWorkspace <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Vault <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Windows <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar <LocalAppData>\Microsoft\WindowsApps [ExcludeFiles] *.tmp i know its not the best practise, but firstly i want a way which is working. If its working i can work on optimization. Thanks!

Hi Kevin, I did the same steps like you and i had no extra drive. In the meantime i found the reason why its not working. I used an unattend installation for the windows with a software deployment solution. With this windows installation the appstack provisioning doesnt work. I did a manual installation and its now working. best regards Alex

Hi there, is there any way to troubleshoot the provisioning process? Im trying to provide very simple applications via appstack. I was trying to create an appstack for FileZilla and always I finished the provisioning process im getting an empty vmdk. Im using a Windows 10 64bit Enterprise Build 1607 to create an appstack. After any provisioning process im reset this machine to a snapshot before any installation was done. In the AppVolume interface you can see the different between a successfully provisioned app an an unsuccessfull appstack. The unsuccessfully provisioned appstack is always 88MB big and is missing an application: Ive this problem with a lot of applications, for example google chrome. So im really wondering whats wrong here. The Elster Formular Appstack was successfully created with the same machine on the same way. Thanks for any help! best regards Alex

Hey guys, im sry for my late response. I had now the time to make some tests again. Its now working here! I was testing this now with Windows 10 x64 Enterprise 1607. In my last tries where it was not working, i was using Windows 10 x64 Enterprise LTSB 2016. All other steps was identically. The installation of the vm is identically. Has anyone experience with capturing appstacks under Windows 10 LTSB? thanks! best regards Alex
Okay thanks! This looks empty: I will try to create another appstack with another software.

Hi techguy, ofc i checked that already. Theres no folder of google chrome inside programfiles or programfiles x86. If i understand its correctly, the svroot folder include the drive of the appstack? I cannot access the 64bit programfiles folder inside that: The error message means its not available... is this normal? I can access program files x86, but there is no google chrome folder too. So it seems the provisioning process wasnt successfull. I will try it again with another application. regards

Hi there, im starting my first steps with app volumes and have some problems with my first appstack. Im using the golden image from which i had published my desktop clones. I powered the virtual machine on and create a new appstack and provisioned the appstack to my golden image. Im logged in to the virtual machine and the app volume manager told me that im running in provisioning mode. I had installed a simple software google chrome and pressed ok. After the reboot im logged in again and the agent told me that the provisioning was successfull. In the App Volume Manager webconsole i can see the appstack and can assign it. Ive tried to assign the appstack to a domain user. Ive logged in to a different machine of the vm pool... All vms have the app volume agent installed. The app volume manager shows me an attachment, i can see on the vcenter that the vm has mounted the disk, but there is no google chrome app inside of the virtual machine. I cannot find any error I retried this process a different time and always the same problem... where can I start to troubleshoot this? The svservice.log shows me a lot of information which i cannot complete understand. Can please someone help me here? Here is the svservice.log: http://pastebin.ca/3850389
