This is a University with 20k plus students running Horizon 7.6 Windows 10 platform. Student's do NOT log off from the computer session, so what's the best way to log off after 1 hour of ideal time? is there a setting in Horizon? or do I need to use GPO, task scheduler what's the best way? thanks for your help.

I just did an IP schema change on my vdi environment everything went good upgraded from Horizon 7.4 to 7.6. But I can't delete the old VCenter (it was connected by IP address in horizon) when I try to delete it, it say's I have to delete the pools first. So when I try to delete the pools it can't because it can not connect to the old Vcenter is there a way around that? I need to delete the old vcenter and add the new vcenter to the connection brokers. Thanks. Tyson

I build my VDI environment 7.5 I need to know what ports I need to open so off campus student's can get access. I have port 443 & 80 open inbound. but I was talking to one of my co-workers and he said that I need to have a Connection Broker in the DMZ so off campus employees/students can have access is that correct? and if so can I just put 1 or 2 Connection brokers in the DMZ in front of the A-10 and if so what ports do I need to have open? Thanks for any help. It's working like a dream on campus just not off campus or on our wireless we have firewall rules in place on that.

I am wanting to put in 2 load balancing A10's in place, but my company want's me to justify why I need them. what is VMware's best practice on Load balancing? do they recommend it or not? I could really find the documentation about it. Also, if you put in load balancing do I have to use Security Servers? or can they just go straight into my 4 connection broker servers? Thanks for the help.

I building a new 7.3 VM environment I have a vdivctr (linux based os server) a composer (windows OS) and 4 connection broker servers (windows OS) I have certificates from diga cert on all 6 servers. When I log into the vdivctr and the connection broker servers, they all have green on the web address. None of the servers have web access I can ping www.google.com from the “CB” and the other servers but when I pull up a web browser, I cannot get to it that is firewall rules and that is intended for the time, unless I have to change it. In the dashboard on Horizon View it doesn’t like my certificates as indicated in the attachments. How do I fix this problem or what am I doing incorrectly?? I have tried these solutions from VMware. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2035818?r=2&Quarterback.validateRoute=1&KM_Utility.getArticleData=1&KM_Utility.getGUser=1&KM_Utility.getArticleLanguage=2&KM_Utility.getArticle=1 https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2000063 Tyson
