Hello, We have Horizon client installed on shared computers. When user logoff the computer without disconnect their Horizon session, the desktop session will show online for few minutes. This caused some issue for us when next user login and launch Horizon. Do anyone have some idea about how to send a disconnect command for force View session disconnect immediately after user logoff? I tried kill the task before user logoff, but it still shows online except for I manually disconnect the session.   Thanks.
Anyone have the same issue for the longest View session is 20 hours? Anyway to override or extend the settings? Thanks.

Hi @chrisdhalstead , Thanks for your reply.  I am not sure if this setting can resolve the issue. We are having some active session required longer connected time (more than 20 hours). The setting you mentioned is for extending the idle time. But in our case, even user actively using the session, when maximum time limit hit Horizon will disconnect the session regardless not even a warning.

I had a ticket opened with VMware support and the support guy said we can achieve my request from DEM and here is my request: We have a View global setting with 720 minutes to forcibly disconnect users. If we put never forcibly disconnect user, the maximum disconnect time is 1200 minutes. Is there a way to override the setting on specific pool or group of users and can we change it to never disconnect session or longer than 20 hours? Thanks, Eric

Hello @DEMdev  thanks for your reply and the workaround works for us as you mentioned. And we don't need use APPV to trigger the async. The shortcut in startup works for both APPV and nonAPPV users. Another question: If we deselect mapping the printers through Async, will this change affect the login performance? (we have about over 100 network printer mapping on different endpoint clients) Thanks, Eric

Hi @DEMdev , We got the exactly printer async mapping issue when AppV involved. Couple questions here: 1. To make the change on "disable printer mappings during logon", do we have to change it on the image?  2. Do we need apply this KB for this workaround? (https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2137401) 3. How can we map the printer to AppV user and non-AppV user if they share the same image? Since the trigger won't work for those non-AppV users. Thanks, Eric
