@CoreyN  No problem! still working with support. I convinced my boss move over to user based licensing and I am not longer having the issue. However, I am still working with support and running test for them. @Drizzt-DoUrden Interesting. Support and I modify the snapvol cfg with no luck. However, we tested that with appvol agent 4.0 and 4.1. I am going to share your link with support. Thank you for sharing.

Hey guys I have been working with support and I have been able to get Adobe Acrobat DC 2015 and 2020 to stay licensed during the end users session. Here is the two methods that worked for me. 1. Using the App Volumes Migration Fling migrate the working 2.X Appstack to 4.X package. Support suggested this and it worked. This did not require DEM logon task to work. App Volumes Migration Utility | VMware Flings or 2. DEM Logon-Task which adds the license after logging in. Logon Task Command line: adobe_prtk.exe --tool=VolumeSerialize --stream Timeout: 10 DEM privileged elevation for Adobe_PRTK.exe Tool Captured Adobe Acrobat completely without license. I tested both methods and seems to be working. Let me know if this works for you.
Yeah we are doing the serialized deployment and not named user. GSS still working with me. Apparently I am the first person to put a ticket in about the issue.

Hey Maxstr, We are not using any powershell scripts. The end users log off and log back on everyday. The Apps are provisioned during login. The way we got around the apps not reprovisioning was adding the following to the “Default Apps and FTA” to fix the Issue. [IncludeFolderTrees] <LocalAppData>\Packages\ We ended up reseting/deleting “Default Apps and FTAs” and “Windows Explorer” settings in the affected UEM Profiles because it contained the conflicting RegistryTree Settings. This is the full config we use for ”Default Apps and FTA” #Capture UWP settings #If this entry is removed provisioning UWP Apps at logon will break in non-Persistent deployments. [IncludeFolderTrees] <LocalAppData>\Packages\ #Edge Config File already captures theses settings. Hey guys, I am the author of the vJonathan. Can you guys provided me windows 10 builds, UEM/DEM versions, App volume version? using writable volumes?, used the desktop OS optimization tool on the master image?, instant clones or linked clones? horizon view version? We have solution in the article deployed across different VDI environments within the company. My home lab is running 1909 instant clones  with DEM 9.10, app volumes 4, and horizon view 7.11. Thank you for the feedback. Here is export of my home lab settings. https://1drv.ms/u/s!ApD5n_aIwXU8gY9uGTASpYlGWQ43RQ

Hello All, I was watching vmworld 2019 session ADV2272BU and noticed a slide talking about whats next for App Volumes. They mentioned a public beta for App Volumes 4.0 and to head over to VMTN in order to register. Is the Public Beta currently still available ? I am unable to find anything. PDF Version of ADV2272BU (See slide number 13) https://cms.vmworldonline.com/event_data/12/session_notes/ADV2272BU.pdf Thank you
Can you post your full import/export tab config ? I haven’t seen this behavior with Official KB or using the solution posted in OP.

Hey Raymond_W just a small update. We also found a couple of UEM Profiles affected by issue also needed to have any settings reset/delete if it contained any of the following RegistryTrees before the "solution" would work. [IncludeRegistryTrees] HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\ HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\ HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1\Desktop Not only did I need to reset/delete "Default Apps and FTAs." but we ended up resetting/deleting "Windows Explorer" settings in the affected UEM Profiles because it contained the RegistryTree Settings. I will update original post with the following Steps for resolving the issue. Add <LocalAppData>\Packages\ to "Default Apps and FTAs" config. We found any settings already captured in UEM with the following RegistryTrees needed to be reset/delete. In our case we needed to reset /delete "Default Apps and FTAs" and "Windows Explorer" settings inside the UEM Profiles already affected.      [IncludeRegistryTrees]      HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\      HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU      HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\      HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1\Desktop      3. Log in and test UWP app.      4. Log off      5. Verify Packages folder is now being captured.      6. Log back on.      7. Verify apps are still provisioned and retained settings.

What does logon monitor show you ? C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware Logon Monitor\Logs Using the VMware Logon Monitor Have you enabled logging for UEM ? Try enabling debug and post your Flexengine log if you can. Working with VMware User Environment Manager Logs We also encountered something like this when we first deployed UEM 9.5. We found the first a user logged on they didn't experience a log on delay with FlexEngine. However, after logging off and back on they encountered a 10 minute logon waiting for FlexEngine. We noticed that users files inside their UEM profile stayed opened after they had logged off completely. After about 10 minutes the open files would close and the user could log back on in timely manner. We found that opportunistic locks (Oplocks) was causing the issue on the SMB share created for UEM profiles. After disabling Oplocks we no longer experienced the issue. Hello, I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed. I was unable to find any solutions about this on the forums or KBs. I figured I would share my experience here. Recently we have decided to go with UEM for our project. UEM is currently running in our VDI test environment with Window 10 1803 Enterprise before going live in production. Recently my test users have experienced an issue with UWP missing. For example calculator, photos, paint3d. sticky notes, etc. I did check AppReadiness, Apps, AppxDeployment, AppxDeployment-Server logs in event viewer which show no indication of provisioning/Appx registration issues. We also verified that Appx 's are provisioned correctly in our master image. Every user in our test environment experienced issues with UWP apps missing. I noticed that new UEM profiles weren't experiencing the issue until after logging off for the first time and logging back on again. I started looking into UEM settings we had configured. (Most of our settings are still running on easy start configuration except for applications we have profiled) I realized if "Default Apps and FTA" were disabled the UWP apps never went away after multiple log offs. I might have found the solution, as none of my users have complained about the issue in the past couple of weeks. Adding the following to the "Default Apps and FTA" config resolved our issue with UWP no longer provisioning at logon [IncludeFolderTrees] <LocalAppData>\Packages\ We also found a couple of UEM Profiles affected by issue also needed to have any settings reset/delete if it contained any of the following RegistryTrees before the "solution" would work.
