So I have been wrestling with this little issue for a while and figure i would throw it out there Envirometn Horizon: 7.5.1 UEM 9.4 Appstacks 2.14 Windows 10 LTSB 2016 I have adobe acrobat reader dc installed on the GM.  I then load office 365 from the appstacks.  If i open outlook and try to open a .pdf, it works the first few times.  Then after that I get a failed to load core .dll.  This only happens from Outlook.  If i preview the file in outlook it works just fine.  If i save it and then open it, works just fine, if i change it over to google chrome to be the default pdf viewer, works just fine.  I have tried all of the fixes from the adobe site of the house, registry fixes for protected mode do not seem to help. I should just let it be and keep telling them to use chrome or save it then open it, but i figured maybe i can shut the complainer up.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

So working on a new GM image for my site, went with windows 10 LTSB for this one as the 1703 version has to many FTA issues However at this time my logons are crazy slow, in production right now i get about 90 average, which is fine.  On this I am getting in the 390 seconds.  A bulk being in the shell load time 303 seconds on average I have optimized the VM with the windows 10 fling, and some other time shaving items that are related, any suggestions and what is included in shell load time? Horizon 7.3.1 Uem 9.2 App Volumes 2.12.1 I did not do a manual profile for this build but edited the default profile using defprof. Removing the Appstacks from the equation i start to get logon times in the 70 to 100 seconds.
upon initial testing seems to have worked like a charm.  thank you very much!

I have it as a .ps1 as the command isnt not as straightforward. $USERSID = ([Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent()).User.Value set-variable -Name key -Value 'HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\$USERSID" $state = (Get-ItemProperty -Path $key -Name State).State {Set-Item -Property -Path $key -Name State -Value 9000} so how would I pass that.?
Ok I have worked through this abit and am on the last piece. I need to run a Powershell Script I have on the Golden Master, what would be the best way at accomplishing this from UEM?
I had the same problem but needed to open in IE, as edge is the default. I created the shortcuts then copied them to the Files and Folders via desktop shortcuts.
Has anyone had any luck with creating a GoToMeeting Appstack?  I have tried their installer to a appstack and using writable volumes but it seems to just disappear.

So I was wondering if any of you have been able to get this to work.  James Rankin made a recent video on how to make this work, which looks promising. However how would I make this change to the profile reg entry at logon and logoff on UEM? How to use Skype for Business with a mandatory profile - YouTube Link to the what the powershell script does. Using Skype for Business with a mandatory profile Still relatively new to UEM so hopefully answer will help my knowledge on the next level. Thanks in advance. This would be interesting to hear the answer.  I had to have the Employee go in and disable it.  The settings held, but I would be very interested in this solution.

UEM 9.2 Horizon 7.2 Windows 10 (1703) (I know it is not supported) Instant Clones Mandatory Profiles I am trying to get Edge to not keep coming back as the default app for web browsing.  I have tried all the articles on here with no luck.  Here it what i see happening. If I go to Default apps the web browser shows Edge, however if i click on choose default apps by file type they all show IE11.  However Egde is still launching by default.  Any ideas?  I dont mind setting it with a powershell / startup script after login if that is what it takes. ijdemes any luck in your environment?

Here was the response for others that are using VDI and PrinterLogic This override will allow TCP/IP printers that were installed via the Portal to be stored in users' UEM profiles. On the GM Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PrinterLogic\PrinterInstaller\Overrides. Create a new string value named RESTORE_USERINSTALLED_PRINTERS. Set the value to 1 to force ON the behavior of TS mode that remembers printers from previous sessions and restores them. I then saw UEM pull the value HKCU\Printers\Settings\TS Upon logoff and re logon the printers are now there.

Details Windows 10 1703 UEM 9.2 Horizon 7.2 Now I know that 1703 is not supported. We use Printer logic to install the printers onto the VDI(installs to direct IP).  Drivers are all installed on the GM.  When we install the printer it works just fine.  Upon logout the registry entries export just fine.  Upon relogin the registry entries get put back, but the printers are not available.  However if i install a printer from a Microsoft Print Server that Printer will come back with no problems.  So might just be something with it doing direct IP mapping.  Here are the settings that are being pulled in. I dont really see what is off here any help would be appreciated. # This Flex config file references the built-in "Printers" Windows Common Setting. # Only network printers will be captured, including the default printer setting. # Both printer mappings made by UEM and users will be captured. # Enable this config file if you allow users to manage their own printer mappings. # Network Printers will be imported at logon and exported at logoff. # # Expanded settings for Windows Common Setting 'Printers': # [IncludeRegistryTrees] HKCU\Printers HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Devices HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PrinterPorts [IncludeIndividualRegistryValues] HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\Device HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\UserSelectedDefault [Immidio Flex] This file was created using VMware UEM Management Console version 9.2.0.701. I might have figured it out by plucking around.
I am very new to UEM, and I am not understanding how to create this.  I am having the same issues as described.
