Having a weird issue.  We recently switched to UAG instead of Security Servers.  It seems like around that time we started getting tickets for users getting kicked out of their VDI after exactly 8 hours.  The global setting in the Horizon admin console is set to 720 minutes like it always has been.  The UAG is set to 360000000 ms, which is 10 Hours.  The users still get the message "Logout request by system".  The session just disconnects so when the user logs back nothing is lost.  Environment details..... Horizon 7.6 vSphere 6.5 UAG 3.4 Any help would be appreciated.
No. I do not save that directory and I have no issues.

Same here.  Office and Reader is installed on the Base Image.  Seems to work after deleting the users writable profile but that's not the solution.

We had recently upgraded to App Volume version 2.14 from 2.12.  I updated the agents on the master VM and created new pools.  I noticed that the writables were still using the 2.12 template so I updated those to the 2.14 templates.  That's when this issue started.  I rolled back the agent to 2.12 and everything started working again.  Installed 2.14 and it broke.  I upgraded to 2.15 and everything is working perfectly.  Not sure what happened but there is some kind of bug with 2.14.2.

Having a weird problem with the Remote Desktop Connection client and pretty much anything else that requires you to enter a username and password.  If I delete the users writable profile then everything works like normal and allows you to enter your credentials to connect.  The next time the users logs in and opens the RDP client or tries to "Run As" another user you are not able to enter any credentials.  I attached the screenshot.  I tried to exclude the MSTSC.exe process from the snapvol.cfg file but no luck. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion.  I already created a new template with the size I want and uploaded it to the cloudvolumes\writable_profile location of the datastore.  it works but the system just doesn't automatically use it for new volumes.  I even renamed the original and saved my new template with the default template_uia_plus_profile.vmdk name but still no luck.

Any ideas how to set the default template for the UIA_Plus_Profile volume?  Due to the migration to O365 I have had to give writable volumes to all users so that the caching of the OST file can be saved with their profile and won't have to download each time they login.  Since doing that we are having a lot of the writable volumes get full and users start getting error messages that they are out of space.  Rather then expand each one I created a new UIA_Plus_Profile Template which is 20GB instead of the default 10GB.  I can create a volume manually using the new template and it works but when I add users to the security group in AD and it creates it automatically it still uses the old one.

Just a quick background of my environment.... Horizon 7.6 App Vol 2.14 UEM 9.14 Windows 10 Enterprise 1803  I recently upgraded to Horizon 7.6 due to compatibility issues with previous version and Win10 Ent 1803.  I now have an environment that is compatible according to VMware.  I am having the same old start menu and search issues that should be resolved.  If i have app vol installed on the image then the start menu and search functions are broken.  If I just remove App Vol and recompose the pool then it works again.  It doesn't seem to be related to a writable being attached.  I tested with and without.  I also already added the line to disablehotplug as recommended by VMware.  Any other ideas?

I have a situation and trying to figure out the best method moving forward so any input would be greatly appreciated.  A little background.  I have recently upgraded to the below versions to better support O365 and Windows 10.    App Vol 2.14, UEM 9.5, Horizon 7.6.  With the recent deployment of O365 it was recommended to give all users Writable Profiles because of the need to enable Outlook caching.  This allows it to cache only the first time.  I leveraged UEM quite a lot but not sure it's needed anymore.  Looking for some advice on how I should still use UEM.  Will there be a conflict if both are used?  Should I remove my applications in UEM since the application data will now be backed up with the writable profile?  If you have used Writable volumes before then you know they have to be deleted sometimes due to weird issues which then loses all of the users data.  I'm thinking that UEM would be handy in that case since it will have all of the IE cache and application stuff saved with the roaming profile.  Any ideas?

I'm trying to find a way to identify unused VM's.  We have a lot of contractors that come and go but the VDI stays assigned to the user and just sits unused.  I need a powercli script to identify those machines.  I tried to use vROPS but I didn't see a way to do it there either.  I found this post below but not having much luck with this script.  It is just exporting blank files.  I fixed a few syntax issues but still nothing.  Any help would be much appreciated.  https://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-36759#comment-43440
Thanks for the suggestion Ben.  The reboot of the environment fixed the issue.  Sucks I had to reboot everything.  Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

Thanks for the script!  I am having a few issues though.  Were you able to get it to work as-is? In the below line.  Should this be Get-DesktopVM or just Get-VM?  I also added a closing } to the end.  I get that to work but the entire script errors out on the ($i.user_displayname -eq  parameter.  $vmList = Get-DesktopVM | Select Name, user_displayname | Where {$_.Name -notlike "vmName*" -and $_.Name -notlike "vmName*"  #add more exclusion is needed

There are no errors logged anywhere in the Horizon console.  I can increase VM's on other pools with no issues just not this specific pool.  I can restart VM's so I know the service account it working.  When you increase the number of VM's in the pool it should start cloning the template but never does.  It just ignores it.  It's so weird.  This just started after upgrading to 7.2.
No, there are plenty of numbers.  It is unique to this pool and there are hundreds of names available.  It's weird that it just ignores it and doesn't even log an error anywhere.
