No Roaming Profile for Google Chrome at the moment.  Can you provide steps on how to do that? I am going to monitor this setup for the time being and see how much it grows over time.
Yea I seem to get white screen on first attempt and seems to work after. Frustrating.

I applied your settings and it shrinked it to 16MBs which is much better. I did notice your config does not carry the History, its in the include files but was also in the Exclude Files for some reason. I commented it out: [ExcludeFiles] #<LocalAppData>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\History I now see the history hits on sites.

What is odd, though is on next net new Desktop login it appears to work.
Thanks Rachel. What is your average zip file size w/ this? I have Google Chrome installed on Parent Desktop for this Non-Persistent environment.
The Google zip has gone as high as 60Mbs. Seems to clear when I dump history, but I also read somewhere on Youtube exclusions, so it might be related to hitting that page. I'd have to check where... See more...

I am also getting the blank white box when launching teams. Where you able to resolve this? Thanks.
Rachel - Not to go off the grid here, but can you share your UEM Sync settings for Chrome? I have also noticed large files upon sync. Thanks.

This is the first time I have implemented the "Windows Modular Installer" and "Windows Update" Services to be Disabled through Group Policy (Applied to OU containing both the Parent VM and Instant Clones). This month will be the first round where this is configured this way. Now that this is hard set through GPO, I will move the Parent Image away from the VDI OU where this policy is set (will be moved to a Non-GPO applied OU), and turn on these services in order to install updates. Once the updates are installed, I will move the VM back to the VDI OU and confirm the Group Policy settings are reapplied before sealing the Image (Snapshot).
Set the Services in Group Policy Object to 'Disabled'. I did this on the parent image before sealing (Snapshot) and then deploying instant clones.
It appears I have been able to keep these Windows Update and Windows Modules Installer Services through Group Policy. So far so good and I don't see spikes in CPU in vCenter.
I have done that on the parent and re provisioned and for some reason the Service still runs despite disabled. Weird.

Hi. I have my login time down to about 50 seconds using the Optimize Windows 10 Techzone VMware guide and Login VSI Optimization. Did you disable any services manually aside Windows Update? I also noticed that sometimes even though I disable Windows Updates it Runs along with Windows Modular Service. I can disable both but after provision the TIWorker.exe process creeps and uses some CPU on instant clones. It then stops running for period. Stomped on this, any input on any other customizations you did would be helpful.

- VMware Horizon View 7.7 - HTML Blast - Clipboard Redirection is Disabled (All Directions) in Group Policy and UEM - Instant Clones Desktop Pool - Windows 10 - 1803 We do NOT permit access to clipboard content. The problem is we are getting the following notification intermittently causing confusion to end users: "Enable Copy and Paste (You can copy and paste text between your local system and the remote applications using Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V)" I worked w/ VMware support and they confirmed the settings in GPO (Configure clipboard redirection = Disabled in both directions) and UEM Policy (Horizon Smart Policies - Clipboard = Disabled) The clipboard is NOT working as intended, which is good, we simply want to prevent this Notification from appearing when logging into Desktop Pool, otherwise End Users think they can copy/paste. When working w/ support, they suggested the GPO and now that I went back with a new ticket, they stated this is a bug that will be resolved in future release. A bit frustrated that I have gotten two different responses from them. Any feedback is appreciated.

An App caused a problem with your default browser setting, so it was reset to Microsoft Edge". The default browser still shows Internet Explorer as default. We just want to rid of this notification that appears at login. The issue appers to be related to App Volumes as I do not receive notification when logging in with a user who has NO Appstacks assigned.
