Is there no way to view Security Servers in the Horizon 7.11 or newer HTML5 Client? With the deprecation of the Flex/Flash client this seems like a huge gap. Yes, I know Security Servers are going away and we are replacing with UAG but wanted to see if we are missing something.
Blast Secure gateway is enabled in the admin console and the firewall rules are opened. However, the security servers are not listening on port 8443 when completing a netstat -a from cmd prompt.

We have PCoIP implemented today and want to explore Blast Extreme. We can't seem to be able to get Blast Extreme working from external sources. It is working internally. Environment details: Horizon 7.3.2 2 Security Servers Horizon Clients point to load balanced URL. Security Servers sit behind load balancer Security Servers have their own Public IP(For PCoIP Secure Gateway For PCoIP, Security Servers have their own Public IP and IPs are used in the PCoIP Secure Gateway field. How should Blast Extreme be implemented as far as which firewall ports are opened to where as well as any config that needs done within Horizon Admin?

No AppStacks in our scenario, just a Writable. The files initially come down from the golden image but as they are manipulated, they are stored on the writable. The problem is when the files are deleted, they no longer show up in file explorer so an F5 refresh doesn't really do much for us. We need the folder where these files live to be persistent so eliminating from Writable via snapvol.cfg isn't an option. I guess we could redirect via UEM but the folder lives outside the user profile and I don't think UEM can redirect such locations. Plus the folder is several GB so that could impact performance.

This makes sense and thanks for the response. Is there a way to prevent this behavior? Basically we need to allow users to copy a file to another location(within the OS/Writable), delete it from original location but then copy it back without getting the "file already exists" error message. We found that if the user logs off and back in again, they are able to copy the file back to original location but this isn't a legit solution.

We are seeing strange behavior when Writable volumes are enabled and how it handles deleted files. Here is the scenario: -User copies from from Directory A to Directory B -User deletes file from Directory A -User then attempts to copy file from Directory B to Directory A -Windows clams the file already exists and asks if users should copy and replace or not copy at all Why would windows think the file exists when it has been deleted. We've also notice that deleted files do not go to the Windows recycle bin. Maybe this behavior is by design and if so is there a way to prevent it? We are running AppVolumes 2.12.1.103

We are having issues when developers log in with a writable and using git. Simple GIT reset commands do not work at GIT claims files exists when they do not. If the writable is disabled and the user logs in all work fine. They are logging in to a linked clone from a non-persistent Floating Desktop Pool. Any experience out there with Git while using a writable volume(UIA + Profile)?

We have tried to implement UEM to prevent the Extension error message but are not having any luck. We are using Writable volumes which is causing the issue and have added the Chrome alsmk2 has theirs. The flex logs indicate the policy is being applied and I see the.zip archive created. Any Suggestions?

Does anyone know how to change the display time and date of the directory sync log to show a different time? Right now it shows something like Oct 23, 2017 6:03:40 AM -0400 which is not the correct timezone. I have changed the time zone via the method in the Appliance console but this does not change the Sync time display.
I see the random buggy issues when running vIDM in a cluster have not gone away in version 3. We abandoned the cluster setup months ago and couldn't be happier.

If we are forcing users to access Horizon Desktops via vIDM(by way of setting required SAML in Horizon Admin) how is a user supposed to change the default display for a Desktop Pool? Typically this is done by right clicking the desktop pool in the Horizon client. But, if we are requiring SAML, there is no way too access the Horizon Client.

everything checks out with the URLs and Certificates. This issue just popped up and everything has been working for quite some time. We have verified both security servers are taking some connections without issues. It just a select set of users having the problem. We'll be gathering more info in terms of what OS these users are running and what version of the client.
