@YunYiQun Do you have an ETA for when we'll see these published as official releases?

Engineering provided us with a new build over the weekend that they believe will resolve the issue based on the logs we provided. We are starting to load and test it. Just to note, we are focused on this issue with the Horizon Client for Linux. I don't know if the fix will apply or be incorporated in the Horizon Client for macOS unless someone also has a case in for that.

We are troubleshooting the issue on Linux with VMware engineering. We haven't received any reports of it on our macOS or Windows clients. VMware provided us with a engineering build to gather more logging to try and identify the source of the issue but it did not contain a fix.

We have a PR open with engineering so this should eventually get resolved. We were asked to gather any additional SR for the issue. If you have one please also open a PR so we can try and get a quicker resolution. For some users we've disabled typematic as a workaround where the business impact of the repeating/sticky keys was too high.

From our testing rolling back to Horizon Client 2012 for Linux has stopped the issue temporarily until we get a solution.

See if this fixes you Start Menu issues. Windows 10 Start menu, Search, Store Apps does not work to mouse clicks on linked-clone VDI with persistent disk (54877)

Depending on your RADIUS server you might be able to bypass certain users. If it needs to be enforced externally for all users and bypassed internally for all users you will need to deploy separate connection server(s). See my response to a similar question. Is 2 Factor at the Pool Level Possible in VDI? If you aren't aware Horizon View 6.x went end of general support on 2019/06/19. You need to move to 7.x as soon as possible to maintain support and get access to security/bug fixes and new features. https://www.vmware.com/content/dam/digitalmarketing/vmware/en/pdf/support/product-lifecycle-matrix.pdf Edit: This showed up as having recent activity.
Please tell us more about the environment.
Your upgrade sequence is correct. Make sure to take adequate backups first (Shutdown all VMs and take snapshot. Backup SQL databases). Horizon 7 Upgrades
Can you explain the Horizon infrastructure involved for the connection? This sounds like a configuration issue.

First off, you should be upgrading more frequently than once a year. VMware releases updates to the majority of their products quarterly. There are a number of security issues in the versions you are on. Second, 7.5.0 has a number of known issues and I would not advise it (Windows 10 1809 will not work). At a minimum I would look at 7.5.2 although it has other knowns issues. Depending on the features you use you may need the latest release (7.8 as of now but 7.9 is expected any day now). Depending on your needs the Horizon Extended Service Branches (ESB) could be a better fit for you but they still ship updates more than once a year. Are your templates joined to the domain? If so you need to exclude them from being tombstone and purged from AD.
Looking at the Horizon Agent log is going to be the most telling for why the disconnect occurred.

While linked clones are associated with a parent/snapshot they are dependent on a replica which is as a clone of the parent at a specific snapshot. Technically you can delete snapshots or the entire parent and everything should continue to function so long as the replica is preserved. Reverting a snapshot just changes the current state of the parent (discarding any changes made since that snapshot was taken). The snapshot is not removed and it will not impact the linked clones.

It's recommend that the Connection Server and Horizon Agent be at the same version. In addition the Connection Server can be newer than the Horizon Agent but you don't want a newer Horizon Agent then Connection Server (There have been a number of issues when doing that). There are cases where a slightly newer Horizon Agent might be recommended by support to fix an issue but it's best to upgrade the Connection Server(s) as soon as possible. Why not just upgrade to 7.8 for both the Connection Server and Horizon Agent (Assuming this is a supported path)?
Can you share a screenshot of the pool settings? Is this a floating pool with shared user accounts?
