We have some issues with the Horizon Virtual Apps Certificate. We receive Enterprise service <servername> response: Unable to get certificate from the URL <connection server url/metadata/sp.xml> We know it's certificate issue, but question is, which requirements do we need for this certificate to get it working? Thanks

Hi all,   We have an issue with VMware Horizon 7.13... When users login, they have to authenticate twice before they can start their VDI session. When logging in directly through a connection server it works fine... So thinking about the load balancer (sticky session) They have a netscaler. But wondering the following:   The Method : Leastconnection bothers me...is this correct?

We have a Horizon Cloud Environment for one of our customers, the thing is, we don't use any DEM or anything, just plain RDS Servers just to publish 1 single application. But here is the thing, those users are from different countries with different keyboard settings. They must use Horizon Blast ( so only through Webbrowser). They are complaining that the keyboard settings do not match. I have already added the different keyboard settings to the Image. For me it works fine, also when I change my keyboard in my OS. But for some reason, the clients of the customer don't... Any thoughts about this matter? (experience / tips etc)   Thanks

Hi all, We are facing some issue with upgrading (deploying) VMware Horizon Cloud Connector 1.8 The problem is that the page shows up with : Bad Gateway 502. While these errors are common, I already tried several things. What I noticed (in my lab), that the appliance gives an error when AD is not reachable. If Horizon is not available, this is not a problem for the inital setup. At customer site i have tried the pre-check: It fails at :   Cloud Proxy Service status FAIL. When I do the same in my lab, it does not come with that error... What I also see: Customer: In my Lab:   So there is my problem. From Customer side, I have connection to AD, i can do ping on netbios & FQDN it all resolves no problem, I also have connectivity outside (internet) on 80 & 443, also inside to the Connection Servers. So, yeah I think I know where the problem is... : Cloud Proxy Service status FAIL. But no idea how to troubleshoot / solve this item... Anyone any idea?

Hi all, At a customer we have a strange "issue". We are using VMware UEM 9.2 on a RDSH (Citrix) environment. The strange issue we encounter is that, (we are using 5 mount points for the home folders of users, don't ask me why....) But the fact is. Every user has right on 1 of those mount points, and not on the others. The issue we see is that some users, only have access to MountPoint 5 for example, but in Windows at some point, a drive mapping to MountPoint 6 is trying to be made, and sort of succesfull.... When using net use, it has a drive mapping to the 6 without drive letter. Any thoughts about this behaviour?

Hi all, We see some strange behavior at a customer site.. Instant Clones won't be deleted at reboot, only at logoff, sometimes after a user initiated reboot, the VM will return with disks and all the profiles on it. We also see that VMware tools is not responding to the vCenter. LogOff most of the times works fine (not seen issues there yet)... Any thoughts? Checked this post : VMware Horizon 7: Instant Clone Pools Delete VMs on Restart But this is not the case...

Well, that's the idea.... to fix it in the golden image... and then test. It is still strange that a vmware proces takes this long...i have seen several posts about other product which might stall this item, but due to the time I had, I could not investigate... But, with vmlm_helper.exe "enabled", 1 minute 20 to logon, with vmlm_helper.exe "disabled" 22 seconds... that's a huge difference! And yes, it is very strange, one user can just work with the GPO enabled, others don't, and without the GPO everyone can work... To be continued

At a customer, we experience very slow logon times > 1 minute... After doing some tweaks, "DelayedDesktopSwitchTimeout"=dword:00000002 We noticed the vmlm_helper.exe popup screen taking a long time, after that we created a gpo to exclude the vmlm_helper.exe C:\Windows\system32\userinit.exe,”C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Agent\bin\wssm.exe”,”CL\Program Files\Common Files\VMware\ScannerRedirection\diagutil.exe” /c /q /ds, we removed the :  C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Agent\bin\vmlm_helper.exe part. Now, with one user, no problems and logon time 20 seconds, except for all other test users...when they try to login, they will be logged off immediatly when the desktop shows... We now removed the policy for userinit (so it is original again) and it works fine, except for the slow / very long login time... Any thoughts?

That is exactly what we did....
