Something has changed in 1803 and disabling the windows update service in the master image doesn't stick when logging into the linked clone. I've seen the service turn back to Manual (Triggered) and that kind of makes me think eventually Windows Updates will scan. I've gone ahead and added some registry hacks, but has something changed in this version that I am unaware of? Anyone know how to turn it off completely? I only want to enable it when I patch.

Just for reference for anyone who needs to write to this registry, but there isn't an actual ADMX template for it, you can create your own following this simple guide Create Group Policy ADM and ADMX templates – 4sysops  and load it into UEM. I had to do this for something very specific related to a plugin & it works.
Yes I can apply ADMX policies, but some of these settings aren't in there. Specifically this one (unless I'm blind). How do people work around this?
Why doesn't UEM create this registry item? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\outlook\options\mail] "JunkMailImportLists"=dword:00000001

I thought I'd run into permission issues but it worked like a charm.
Is it possible for UEM's Logon Task feature under User Environment to launch a script that is located in \\DC\Sysvol\FQDN\scripts?
I figured it out. It was the VMWare OS Optimization Tool. The tool changes ConsentPromptBehaviorUser to 0. This should be 1 for UAC prompts.

Yah, nothing seems out of the ordinary. I'll work with Microsoft on this one. Thanks for trying.
I assumed it was something Applocker/UEM Application Blocking enabled, but I don't have any of those on.

I can't understand why regular domain users are being blocked from running anything as administrator. Something as simple as Command Prompt (Admin) gets you the blue error saying "this app has been blocked by your system administrator." Applocker isn't running. UAC is enabled. I don't have any group policy that would be blocking this. My only assumption is that I don't have something turned on through group policy or it is something with UEM. Maybe something disabled through OS Optimization? Has anyone ran into this issue?

We had a consultant setup our new Horizon environment with App Volumes. In it's current state, it isn't how we want it, but maybe we were sold on the idea which the software isn't capable of doing. Our setup is we have a golden image with main applications. We want to assign users who want to install individual applications that is not the standard a writeable volume. We were told that this writeable volume would follow them which ever machine they are put on. The applications will follow as well. I'm having issues installing applications like Minitab, Visio, and Project when assigned a writeable volume. They either lose registration, icons disappear, or fail to even launch even though the application is there. 1. I'm thinking I may not be collecting everything necessary 2. Or writeable volumes doesn't function the way it is I've researched articles and it looks like Visio/Project are better created as App Stacks, but why doesn't our logic work with writeable volumes work the same way?
