The broker is unable to redirect that USB device to a second VM. It only works for the brokered VM. Alternatively you can create an ISO of the USB device and mount that or attach the USB to the ESXi host then attach it to the VM using pass through.
What is the error? Also check with IT support to make sure your university's firewall will allow traffic through the firewall ports necessary for Pcoip..

Rather than a partial roaming environment I would suggesting doing everything with ViewPersona. In our persona environment it captures app settings like Outlook signatures, Firefox favs, MS Lync credentials to name a few.
I have MS Lync 2013 in a View 5.2 environment with Persona running and when I log off/on it auto signs me into Lync. We are capturing the AppData stuff.

Are you experiencing any storage latency on your VMs? If not you may want to try removing one of the affected VMs and allowing View to provision a new one and see if the problem persists.

Trying recomposing the pool with the "Use View Storage Accelerator" unchecked. This can be found in the "Advanced Storage Settings" tab when you edit the pool. I was having a similar issue and this helped. We did not see a performance decrease with it unchecked either.

That's a bad sign. It means vCenter cannot access the storage you were using? This is the existing pool you are editing right? You normally only see this on pools that you are just about to create. Are you using Shared or local storage for this pool?
In View edit the pool and go to "vCenter Settings" -> Resource Settings -> Browse the target datastore and then in the "Storage OverCommitt" column adjust to your desired setting.
