I think you're right, doesn't work at my customers location as well. :smileyangry:
Mount the vmdk to a clean VM without the App Volumes agent.
Are you sure you have the permissions on the share set up correctly? see: Configure VHD In-Guest Storage
Did you find a solution for this? This is very annoying.

I have 2 ecurity servers load balanced with a KEMP load balancer. Configured it as described by KEMP, with persistency: server cookie (JSESSIONID). This works as expected. When I enable 2-dactor authentication (with RADIUS), the first authentication (with token) works, but the second authentication (windows AD) takes a very long time and then fails. When I look at the loggin of the loadbalancer, the second connection is going through the other security server. It seems that there is no JSESSIONID cookie created during the first authentication. Anyone has this setup working?

I have a question about managing RDSH-servers with App Volumes. In my environment, I've noticed that when I have Appstacks attached to a RDSH-server and I want to install Windows Updates or updates to the applications which are installed locally, those updates are not installed anymore after a reboot. It looks as if App Volumes "captures" the changes to the OS and as the attached Appstacks are read-only, those changes are discarded after a reboot. See: http://svenhuisman.com/2015/05/disable-app-volumes-service-before-updating-os-or-installed-apps/ My question is: Is this expected behaviour and what is the best way to manage the RDSH-servers? Do you need to disable the App Volumes service before making changes to the OS?

I'm troubleshooting an issue where starting an application from a RDSH server with Horizon View is taking 12 seconds. No UEM or profile management is being used, just plain local profiles. I've captured some data with xperf and I can see a 4 to 5 seconds delay between the session create and the actual user logon. The only 2 processes started during that delay are pcoip_server_win32.exe and VMwareView-Rdeserver.exe. When I look at the VMware View debug log, I can see the following error during the delay: 2015-05-12T11:13:14.963+02:00 DEBUG (0190-0B20) <MessageChannel ReceiveThread> [MessageFrameWork] Unable to locate queue PCoIPVChan-SVR(2) with hint MESSAGE_IPC. 2015-05-12T11:13:14.963+02:00 DEBUG (0190-0D50) <MessageChannel ReceiveThread> [MessageFrameWork] Unable to locate queue PCoIPVChan-SVR(0) with hint MESSAGE_IPC. 2015-05-12T11:13:15.182+02:00 DEBUG (0190-0B20) <MessageChannel ReceiveThread> [MessageFrameWork] Unable to locate queue PCoIPVChan-SVR(2) with hint MESSAGE_IPC. 2015-05-12T11:13:15.182+02:00 DEBUG (0190-0D50) <MessageChannel ReceiveThread> [MessageFrameWork] Unable to locate queue PCoIPVChan-SVR(0) with hint MESSAGE_IPC. This error is logged multiple times during the delay. What can cause this error and is probably the cause of the delay? Server is: Windows 2008R2 Latest Windows updates installed. Horizon View Agent 6.1.0. View client is tested on Mac and Windows.

I'm unable to create new discussion topics. I have a question about App Volumes with User Environment Manager. If I attach an Appstack on login for a user, the shortcuts (managed by VMware UEM) are not visible. Only after I initiate a shortcut refresh, they appear. Is this a known issue?
What are the recommended client CPU specs for a #VMware #Horizon client accessing heavy graphics vGPU VM? (needed for #PCoIP decoding)

When a user logs in to the VMware Workspace Portal and starts a View desktop or published application, an error is displayed when the Horizon client is not installed on the system. The error: - The webpage cannot be displayed. The url starts with: vmware-view:// I know this normally should start the Horizon client, but when this is not installed, I would rather see the message that there is no client installed and not this error. Not very user friendly. Can the Workspace portal check for installed clients (Horizon client and Workspace for Windows agent).
This can not be changed? VMware is telling customers that through Workspace they get a Single Sign On experience. Why do users have to enter their password when using kerberos?

I need some guidance in troubleshooting XenApp integration with VMware Workspace 2.1. It seems like I have successfully installed and configured the Integration broker. I followed the steps from the installation guide. Verify PowerShell remoting. This sample command string applies to Citrix Server Farm 6.5. Get-XAApplication -ComputerName CITRIX SERVER NAME -> Works! Type http:// hostname /IB/API/RestServiceImpl.svc/ibhealthcheck to verify that the Integration Broker Web application is running. The expected output displays. All ok Type https:// hostname /IB/API/RestServiceImpl.svc/ibhealthcheck to verify that the Integration Broker Web application is running. The expected output displays. All ok _> Works! But then I added the Integration broker to the workspace portal and when I press "Sync Now" I get the message: Calculating sync actions. This takes a long time. When I look at the troubleshooting tab I see the following error: Failed Sync Action: Could not pull objects from Integration Broker. I use a self signed certificate on the Integration Broker. Any tips on how to troubleshoot, what to check? I'm using Windows 2012R2 with IIS 8.5. I'm not sure if that is supported.
Upgraded the VMware View Agent on the RDS servers to 6.1 and the issue is gone.

The session will now go directly to the desktop. after authentication to the connection server.
