Hello, today I discovered some strange acting in case of pcoip and view client. I've setup and successfully running horizon view for almost a year now. Than I've implemented ssl connection with certificates. Horizon Blast is working like a charm and connectiong via view client for android works as well. But if I try to connect to the view security server with a windows client I get an error after login "tunnel connection could not be established". I don't know if this helps, but my horizon instance is sitting behind a reverse proxy with SNI, so it can handle all the certificate requests. In view administrator console everything is green and ready to use. I also enabled ssl connection in the global rules. Ports 8443 and 4172 are also open and forwarded to the connection server. I have no clue, why I can logon with an android client but not with a windows client? It would be very nice, if someone can help me solving that problem. Kind Regards Herb

Hello, I've a small homelab in which I use Horizon View. Sometimes I use it over WAN and often I've the need to copy some files to an usb-stick. I enabled the usb redirection feature in the agent on the vm that I connect to. Also the rules are enabled in the view administrator panel. The group policies from the domaincontroller are set so that no usb devices are blocked. I've forwarded the redirection port(32111) to the connection server. The problem is, thet if I start a session with a view client on a windows machine I'm able to print with an printer connected to the client pc, but a usb stick or other hardware doesnt work. In the top region it also says:"no usb redirection available on this machine". Funny thing is, that the redirection also doesn't work over LAN. Can someone help me solving that problem? Hello, I try to optimize horizon blast technology. I'm verry impressed with it since I can watch youtube or do some autocad. Sure it is a bit laggy but very usable. But there is a thing which is bothering me. If I launch a directx application (e.g. a game) in fullscreen the screen just freezes and I have to re-login. Is this a known bug? If yes can I do something to get it to work?. Using the horizon client instead is not an option, cause I try to set this all up in combination with a chromebook. I use VDGA(k2 grid). In windowed mode all just works fine, but I hope this is not the last answer to that. Kind regards Herb

Hello, I have a problem, that the horizon 6 GPO bundle dont work @ my lab. I'm running active directory, connection server on Windows 2012 R2 and the virtual Center Server as an appliance. In the domain controller I created an OU for the view computers and moved them all (Connection Server, Windows VM, Domain Controller and virtual Center Server) to that OU. Than I created a gpo object for that OU and linked it to it. I also added the gpo bundle from VMware to that gpo object. I edited the gpo so that the audio is disabled for the pcoip sessions. Than I logged out and in @ the connection server and the Windows VM. But when I login through the PCOIP client to that Windows VM there is still oudio playback available, allthough I disabled that @ the domain controller. Have I missed something? Kind regards Herb

Hi heimdm, I now use a full grown set up with connection server, active directory and vcenter. Now the html access works like a charm. You can edit the external paths with ease in the connection server controll center. I know it's a lot more work to get that running, but worth the time if you need to have html access. I drive this setup with 7.5Mbit upload and a k2 grid in vdga and autocad, youtube and such things run verry well. I think my low upload is defenitely a bottleneck, so if you have a greater upload maybe mild gaming would also be possible.

Thank you very much for your help. I got everything working so far. On my local network everything works great, but if I connect throu an external IP things are not so good. I can access the main page and login to the VM from an external ip. All fine, but than the screen just stays blacj and I get disconnected with a certificate error. If I click on the link provided by the error nothing happens. Hello, I've just set up a horizon view 6 enviroment with the direct connection plug-in successfully . Now I try to get the most out of that envirement and by that try to accomplish the html access. I followed this guide:VMware KB: Enabling HTML Access with the VMware Horizon View 5.3 Agent Direct Connect plugin for horizon 5.3 which doesnt work. Can anybody guide me through the steps needed for the html access in horizon 6 with direct access plug-in? Kind regards Herb

Do you know where I can change the bandwidth value? I think I've to change theese values somwhere in the vmware environment. I know that I can change the limit for the hostcard called Device Bandwidth Limit, but this is allready set to 0 = no Limit. But when I apply some load(running a game) the bandwidth limit won't go up. Here are some screenshots: My settings: My Session: Just for completeness, I've a 1Gbit switch now which connects all components.

Hi guys, I'm using a pcoip hostcard from evga - the hd02- in combination with a vmware vew connection server. It all works perfect the only thing is that the performance is very poor. I cant do 3D intensive things because it lags so much. The fps are goot(no wonder cause of the powerfull pc with host card), but I think I've some bottleneck because of my lan bandwith. I'm currently using a di-524 router which connects the vm-server and the pool pc and the client pc. It has a Bandwith of 100Mbit. Do you think switching the router to an 1Gb would do the trick? greez Herwig
