Guys, strange use case but I need help to understand why a new user can't log into a VM desktop when an existing user has disconnected from his client session. So heres the scenario: user 1 logs into the Pool and is connected to his Wins desktop, he doesn't log at the Windows Log in page but decidesto close the horizon client session; in Horizon admin, the VM in the pool shows "Available" throughout, which is expected i guess as he didn't log in so wouldn't show connected. However, when the 1st user disconnects ie closes the horizon client, anyone else who has an entitlement to that desktop pool can't log in for approx 15-20mins. Is there a timer that I can adjust to bring that time down to say 30secs??  Horizon 8.7 View Agent 8.2 Horizon Client 8.7 Wins10 Test VM

I've  worked with Amulet zero clients (DX-Z4s) but also used 10Zig thin clients on a number of research projects. Both v stable and the 10zig management tools were simple to use. I believe the 10zigs had an installed Horizon client which could utilise PCoIP, Blast Extreme and RDP so pretty flexible.  Price point was ok and can remember support was satisfactory.

Hi, I've noticed when the user is presented with a login screen even if he doesn't login ie just closes the horizon client window without logging in, I would expect the VM to be released back to the floating pool.   The Pool setting is set to Log-off on disconnection immediately.

I'm having issues with Horizon 7 pools. When a user logs into a VM at a zero client (is presented with login screen) but decides not to log in ie just disconnects the zero client the VM is not being released to the Pool for someone else to use. How can I rectify this?  I'm not using DEM/UEM or have any persistance for the VM-User. Is there a setting i can change???
Do you have the right GPU settings in vCenter - think its shared direct or direct depending upon your set up. Do you get the same symptoms when using the View Agent Direct Connect Plug in??
