When you hit the no/intermittent sound issue, do you mean if you play audio within the desktop, you could not hear the sound? Or do you mean if you try to use microphone from client side, it didn't work? We tried on Red Hat 8 OS, but didn't hit the issue. Do you have specific steps to reproduce it? e.g. disconnect/reconnect, steal session end etc? Does it work if you wait for longer time after launch the session? (e.g. 30 seconds or 1 minutes?) Which protocol did you use? Blast or PCoIP? Which Horizon client did you use? Linux client or HTML Access Client with Firefox as browser? It would also be helpful if you could collect DCT logs on both client and agent, and upload them here with timestamp. Client: Horizon client menu -> Help -> About -> Collect Support Data, upload tar.gz file. Agent: C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Agent\DCT\support.bat, then upload generated zip bundle on desktop.

I just tried in my 7.x environment, and the behavior is the same as your Horizon 8. That is to say, to invite a collaborator in trusted domain, I have to use Domain\user but not username directly.  Also, the behavior described in the “Horizon 8” section is more consistent with what I expected. Specifically, when the Horizon Agent requests that the Horizon Server look up an account for collaboration, it has the following behavior: If the search query matches an account that was previously looked up (regardless of domain), the full account information will show up in the query results popup and the user can choose that. This will automatically add the correct domain because we have already done a lookup of the user info. If the user doesn’t choose a search query result or there are no query results, the current logged-in user’s domain is automatically added if necessary. So for example, if the user enters “domain\user” or “user@domain.com” then we don’t add anything. But if they just entered “user”, then we will automatically add the current domain so we are actually looking up “domain\user”. So my only explanation is that the “Horizon 7” behavior is actually occurring because the person has already looked up a collaborator by full domain\user or UPN at least once. Then from there, the username is auto-completed.
Please make sure CursorConvertToRelativeEnabled=1 (REG_SZ) is added under registry. It is disabled by default. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware Blast\Config

The same device can't be shared between host and VM at the same time, but we can use USB redirection in virtual machine. I'm not sure if you are using the second device in this way, but which is feasible. As for the second problem, one of our customers has encountered similar problems previously, which have been solved in the 2012 version. You can try this build below to see if any improvement. https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/downloads/details?downloadGroup=HZ-2012-ENT&productId=1105&rPId=58377 Horizon Agent (64-bit) VMware-Horizon-Agent-x86_64-2012-8.1.0-17352461.exe VMware-Horizon-Agent-x86-2012-8.1.0-17352461.exe
Hi, could you please let me know where I can get the Cisco Nac agent or cisco anyconnect installer? I tried to find them but failed, it would be helpful if you can provide it to me.
Did you use Koisk mode or something like that? Could you elaborate a little bit about how to replace the shell?  It would be helpful if you provide me some detailed steps to reproduce.
For the black image issue with TWAIN scan, which software did you use? Could you please try XnView, and let me know the result? If it also fails, providing DCT logs might be helpful.
Unfortunately by now the only way to set it is through client GUI, select "Allow access to removable storage", and remove other share folders from the list.

Peter is correct. Further more, I'd suggest you to try some applications which support TWAIN scan, like XnView, IrfanView. When you click "File -> Select TWAIN source" from the application menu, you should be able to see "VMware Virtual TWAIN Scanner 1.0" in the list. I attached a screenshot for your reference. FYI, MSpaint and Windows Fax and scan only support WIA scan.

As we can see here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/bitlocker-drive-encryption-overview , the bitlocker protected drive requires a cryptographic information provider like a Trusted Platform Module Chip (TPM) or another USB drive containing the cryptographic information to be present in the computer where the drive is plugged in. In our case it is the Agent VM which should have this cryptographic information provider attached.   As far as I have understood we can take 2 ways to access a Bitlocker protected USB Drive redirected to a view desktop (Assuming no TPM on the Agent VM) 1. http://www.howtogeek.com/192894/how-to-set-up-bitlocker-encryption-on-windows/ - this method will allow the use of a password or USB key (which also has to be redirected) for unlocking the drive. 2.The customer can decrypt the drive in the client side and can use Client Drive Redirection to redirect the drive to the Agent.

The windows update named "Microsoft KB 2990214" might be the cause of this issue. Please try to un-installed that particular update, the issue might not be there any more. Can you please run the following steps in customer's agent VM (considering updated with latest windows updates) : 1. Go to "Installed Updates" page in control panel. 2. Find out the update - Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2990214). 3. Uninstall it. 4. Reboot the agent VM. 5. Reconnect to the agent, redirect the Speechmike. It should come as Speechmike III in audio device list. 6. If the audio device list still shows "USB Audio Device", go to device manager and uninstall the SpeechMike driver. Disconnect and reconnect the Speechmike multiple times and check the name in Audio Device list. Please let me know the result after the test is complete.
You are using a Windows 2012 RDSH session, not VDI session, right? We don't support USB on Widnows 2012 R2 connecting from Zero client yet.
