I have Instant clones with FSLogix setup.  Do I have to make the master image big enough to accommodate the fxlogix user profile?   For example if the master image is 40gigs with 5 gig free, and the user profile is 10gig.  Will this work, or will it crash, or will it accommodate the difference?   thanks.

I have instant clones setup on Horizon 7.13.1  It is creating a bunch of itxxxxxx entries in dns with an ip address.  Can these be deleted?  It is consuming the ip (dhcp) count and they don't seem to be deleting themselves.  I have scavenging set to 4 days, but nothing seems to happen.  DC is Windows server 2016.

We have 2 esxi hosts with vm workstations and servers.  Initially I wanted to create vlans on the physical switch, but then I realized the vm's do not get connected to the physical switch.  How then can I set up vlans to segment the workstations from the servers in vsphere, and all firewall rules like opening up Oracle ports between the two vlans?   thanks.

Yes, all of 155835 has been applied.  I have run the ClientSideClonePrepTool.exe on the master image before shutdown as well.  Though I'm wondering with instant clones when it makes the template if this is negated when it boots it up.  The vie tool does not seem to exist with 14.3.    I currently have a ticket open with Symantec as well and will see what happens.
Thanks, I tried this and it is still creating duplicates once users log off of their instant clones.

I have instant clones setup with Horizon7.13 with Symantec SEP 14.3.  Every time a user logs off the IC, a new client is added to the Symantec Manager, which reports that we are over deployed.  Is there something that needs to be done in the golden image to not make this happen and having to manually daily delete the old clients in the manager?   Thanks

So you're pretty much saying without a GPU installed separately  (currently only have on-board with our cisco server), the 3D is not going to work?

I have a linked clone pool of Win 7 x64.  I am trying to run 3D maps from Excel 2016 but keep getting the error: Cannot initialize DirectX.  Confirm that your hardware supports DirectX 10 or later... "Enable 3D support" is UNchecked.  I Checked it and it still provides the same error.  Video memory is set at 35MB currently.  Any help is appreciated.

I am trying to plug a usb speaker into our Viewsonic zero client, with Win7 installed.  It gets power, but it does not do the 'installing device driver' thing at the bottom right.  The vm is part of a linked clone pool with View 6.2.1.  What permissions am I missing?  It is the same whether it's a user or admin who logs in. I have global view policy of USB access Allow in View Manager Is this a Windows permission?  Or a view client permission? Any help would be appreciated.  It is not just for the speakers, it will not see any USB sticks as well. thanks.

I have a Linked clone pool where View Manager says the persistent disk is on local host storage.  When I recompose a vm in the pool, or try to delete it I get the error message: Failed to delete VM - Failed to resolve id of disk '[local storage] vm-006-vdm-user-disk-D-9fa24e1a-e2e5-4227-8ce0-dc6774a12e21.vmdk' from vm-006 When I browse the datastore I do not even see this vmdk.  I understand going from a local storage to a NAS for a linked clone might cause trouble and am seeking some help.  I was hoping to detach the persistent disk and reattach it, but I get the above error message.  Any help is appreciated. I CAN create a new vm in the pool no problem and it goes to the NAS.  It's just the existing ones. thanks.

I recently purchased a thin client with Windows Embedded Standard.  I have a bunch of Zero clients that work perfect because they automatically connect to the View server.  The Thin client auto logs in as 'user' and you have a normal Windows screen with Horizon view connection, Remote desktop, ie, etc on the desktop.  I really don't want the users in this environment (more for them to mess up).  Is there a way so Horizon view client starts automatically and see only that so the user does not get a 'second windows' environment? Also if anyone has thin clients, do you join these to the domain or leave them as is? thanks.

When I go to the View server today to recompose, I go into the linked clone pool settings, Vcenter Settings, and it asks for the default snapshot.  Nothing shows up and the error message: Error getting snapshot information for the machine with ID {master image name} and "server error" messages show up.  I cannot recompose or create new vms. am using Horizon 6.2.1 Vcenter Server 6 Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I have set up Location Based Printing in GPO.  The printers get installed properly upon logon. The trouble is, when their session with their zero client is disconnected from the View server (currently set at disconnect after 10 hrs), say a weekend, when they reconnect, the default printer has been changed because the autoconnect printers have been disconnected - lost- when it disconnects from the view server.  Upon reconnecting the printers reappear but the default has been changed and help desk gets flooded..... is there a way around this?
