Hi, We have a user that uses a ThinApp'd application. It properly creates his sandbox on the network, but during his usage of the application, it also creates a %username% sandbox. In our package.ini (on all apps) the sandbox path is going to a network share that includes \%username%\ This works fine, accept for this one user. The %username% sandbox isn't created until this user clicks on the File menu of this paticular application, then the Office install wizard starts.  But 1) this isn't Office and has nothing to do with Office, and 2) at this piont is when the %username% sandbox is created for this user. Also, in both sandboxes for this user, the subfolder is the same.  It's the name of the drafting application that we ThinApp'd.  Isolation is WriteCopy. Additional note: This only started to happen after the app was built using 4.6.2  This did not happen on 4.6.1 Any ideas? Thanks
Thanks everyone... process explorer helped. Let's me see (and kill) what is truely holding on to those files/folders.
Hi. Actually, for my testing, no shared folders and everything is local to the VM.  Even the sandbox.  I start simple then "complex it up". Thanks for the response.

Thanks I do see the apps close - for example, when I open Outlook 2010, I do see the Outlook.exe process close when I close the app.  There must be other processes that must be closed I assume.  I do see other VMware processes, but I think they are related to VMTools, and VMware workstation processes.  Are there any others related to ThinApp that I need to check for? .

Hi, When I try to do some testing where I have to rebuild packages, and/or remove sandboxes... I always get the "Cannot delete... File is in use". I close the ThinApps that I have open, I've even waited a day just to see if that would release the locks, but it doesn't.  So, each time I have to remove a sandbox, or update a build, I have to log off my test machine. That releases it.  Is there an easier way?  maybe terminate specific processes? Thanks in advance
Thanks!  Yep, that did it.  Was just finally able to test. Thanks again.
Hi, Is there a switch to have ThinReg NOT create icons? We want file associations, but no icons created (on the desktop nor in the start menu). Thx.
Understood. Thanks.
I'd love to, but it's EVAL.  Which kinda blows my eval since it's 'broken'.
Hi again. I tried all those DLLs but nothing worked. But get this... The app will not work if it is run.  But the app DOES work if I run the application but also have the Log Monitor running... See more...
