SDDC Manager is broken.  I was following along with the VVD documentation and was installing the certificates.  Everything was going just fine until I ran this: sh /opt/vmware/vcf/operationsmanager/scripts/cli/sddcmanager_restart_services.sh Now when I try to login to SDDC Manager I get this {"message":"500 - \"{\\\"errorCode\\\":\\\"IDENTITY_INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR\\\",\\\"arguments\\\":[],\\\"message\\\":\\\"Identity Internal Server Error\\\",\\\"referenceToken\\\":\\\"CSQLJJ\\\"}\""} The URL is showing https://vcf01.lab.io/ui/api/internal/login/callback and if I try to change it to https://vcf01.lab.io/ui the UI looks like the attached image. Any ideas of where to look?

Hey @DonalB, In my opinion is not required at all as for example we use VVD 5.1.2 without having Skyline Collector and is still on the documentaiton. Take into account that VVD are baselines and best practices for having the products up-to-date and maximizing the utilization that the products can provide. So if you are planning to do an update, go ahead and do it by following the standards but remember that you won't need to integrate with VCF.

Hi,   An existing SDDC deployment based on VVD3.x - considering upgrade options and wondering if VCF is needed (we don't have licensing for it) and whether an upgrade to a VVD6.x aligned deployment is possible? Thanks DB
Each vRealize Operations Remote Collector (default == small) in the design uses 274GB of strorage. Disk 01 = 20 GB Disk 02 = 250GB Disk 03 = 4GB
Hi @gilpena , Adding to what @Lalegre had already mentioned in previous thread. This table should be good for reference --> Hardware Requirements for vROPS nodes
Hey @ag6694, What do you mean by VM metadata? To which attributes are you referring?

Hey @gilpena, You won't see the storage space as they just use the VMDKs for the operating system as they only collect data and not hold the Gemfire database. So the space used is quite small and you should not be worried about it. The disk sizing should be only take into consideration for the Data, Replica and Master nodes.

Hi, Why did you change the design so that NSX-T Edge nodes are only deployed in AZ1? Failover from AZ1 to AZ2 with vSphere HA will take a lot longer time than having active Edge Nodes running there already, or have I misunderstood something? Thanks.

Hi, I am reviewing the following doc: Deployment Model of vRealize Operations Manager which has the following table: vRealize Operations Manager Remote Collector CPU, Memory, and Storage Resources Attribute Appliance Appliance size Standard CPU 2 vCPUs Memory 4 GB Additional Storage N/A It appears the the Remote Collector Node is a VM, but the Additional Storage requirements cell has "N/A". Can someone explain the minimum storage requirements for this VM, or does it default to the same storage requirements as the cluster nodes? thanks,

With each release of the VMware Validated Designs, the Solutions Architecture and Information Experience teams create or update the diagrams provided in the Architecture and Design sections of the documentation. These are created as vector files with which we export the PNG files you see in the official documentation. It's my pleasure to now share the diagrams from VMware Validated Design for SDDC 6.0 in Microsoft Visio format with the community. If you have deployed or plan to deploy the VMware Validated Design, you can use these diagrams to update hostnames, IP addresses, and the like for your environment. The set includes: Standard Architecture, (Single and Multi-AZ). Management Domain Foundation Management Domain Cloud Operations and Automation Backup and Restore Download the diagrams from our GitHub repository. NOTE: All official diagrams for the VMware Validated Design are provided in the product documentation found at vmware.com/go/vvd-docs.         --------------------------------------------------------- Added 15 Sept 2020 - Backup and Restore ---------------------------------------------------------

how do you determine if retaining vm metadata is required for validated design migration?
thank you for the share.  do you have any work-spaceone and Horizon?

As many of you may know, this Early Access sub-community provides you an opportunity to download and discuss pre-released design materials for the VMware Validated Designs and VMware Cloud Foundation. We want you to discover the latest content that is in development and learn about the potential directions in these designs. I'm pleased to share the work that my team and I have been working on recently - Architecture and Design for vRealize Suite 2019 - that's applicable over the foundation for both the currently shipping versions of VMware Validated Design 5.1.1 and VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9.1. This early access material covers the architecture and design elements - no implementation guidance is provided at this time - for the use of vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.0.1, vRealize Log Insight 8.0, vRealize Operations 8.0.1, vRealize Automation 8.0.1, and Workspace ONE Access (f.k.a. Identity Manager) and the related management and content packs with a single-region or dual-region SDDC. You may notice that the design currently uses NSX Data Center for vSphere for the load-balancing of the Workspace ONE Access, vRealize Operations, and vRealize Automation as this is currently used in the management domain for both the VMware Validated Design and VMware Cloud Foundation. Our plan is to convert this over when as we progress in the transition from NSX Data Center for vSphere to a pure NSX-T Data Center based management domain - stay tuned! Please note that the implementation of the design and the software bill of materials is not fully validated at the time of early access publication. We encourage you to review, comment, and provide your input on the design and even examine it in a proof-of-concept deployment. No assumption should be made that deploying the design on top of the VMware Validated Design 5.1.1 and VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9.1 has been fully validated, nor supported with current or future integrations with SDDC Manager. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at johnsonryan@vmware.com or DM @tenthirtyam on Twitter with any questions or suggestions - I'd be happy to delve into the design and discuss improvements. Got feedback? We want to hear from you. So dive into this latest early access content and share your feedback directly with our solutions architects and product managers!
ok, you not only mark yourself with correct answer but also gave incorrect link. It is big people do small mistake. Cheers.

Hallo Team, anyone where can help/advice from where I can start learning more about VVD. I'm already VCAP-DCD. I've access to partner portal. I checked this link but most of the videos are VMware Validated Designs - YouTube private. Any suggestion. There used to be HOL but I think it is no longer valid. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for this information. credit card validator is also useful to you.
