Need details info and url for bug on velocloud   Symptoms For BGP filter changes, Velos do not perform a delta check at per filter change granularity but rather retract all filters and reinsert them as per the new BGP configuration. Cause This can induce a window (of a few seconds) where expected filters would momentarily disappear and re-appear, which can likely cause route churn (add/remove routes) based on filters.   Impact/Risks There is a potential for a brief interruption when making this change.

Greetings!,   We are running into a interesting situation. We are rolling our VeloCloud Edge 610s to over 500 locations. These locations have 10 VLANs/Subnets with subnets sizes from /26 to /30s. We have a Edge 3800s is a cluster in our data center. All Edges are on version 4.3.1. Our issue is the number of routes that we are receiving is crushing our router in the data center. We have come up with remedies to address this on the routers but is messy.. My question is can the Velo Edge 3800 summarize the BGP routes? Example: Site 42  VLAN 5 10.2.x.0/28 vlan 10 10.2.0.16/28 vlan 15 10.2.0.32/27 So all these routes as expected come into our data center.. Can we configure the Edge 3800 to summarize all the 10.2.x.x to a 10.2.0.0/24 so that way we only get 1 route redistributed rather than in our case 10 subnets for each site?

Hello @like2_143    Could you please confirm that after the vEdge is powered on, the vEdge has internet connectivity? (try to ping 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4, depending on your environment) and if so, could you please confirm if the Edge is being activated?  If you have console/SSH access to the vEdge, please execute the following command:  activate.py -s <VCO URL> -i <Activation Key>  Best Regards MarcoHB

Hi @sdwannew13  By default, the Velocloud Gateway will advertise the default route. In our SD-WAN Topologies, one of the most common scenarios is having a Hub-Spoke. If we consider this scenario, you may want to advertise a default route from the Hub to the Spokes to have an "internet" backhaul scenario to send all internet traffic( 80/443)  through the Hub for different purposes (inspection, rules, etc).  There will be different scenarios in where default route would not make sense to be advertised from the Hub but we need to analyze the topology of your network to provide a more accurate answer. Let me share with you the link for the Administration Guide VMware SD-WAN https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-SD-WAN/4.5/VMware-SD-WAN-Administration-Guide.pdf Please let me know if this answers your question.  MarcoHB

I have successfully initiated the Virtual VeloCloud Edge on KVM (EVE-NG). The vEdge is provisioned to the VCO. But the edge lost configuration or is unable to communicate with VCO after Turning off or shutting down the vEdge. Power ON the vEdge, the vEdge boot is in the factory default setting. The issue is that when I turn Off the vEdge and turn On again, the vEdge boot in the default configuration needs to activate again.  I am working on a test lab on EVE-NG/PNETLAB and as we know that EVE-NG/PNETLAB are suing the KVM. -----Cloud.init.iso or cdrom.iso--------- meta-data: instance-id: vEdge local-hostname: vEdge network-interfaces: GE3: type: static ipaddr: 192.168.100.111 netmask: 255.255.255.0 gateway: 192.168.100.240 user-data: #cloud-config password: velocloud chpasswd: { expire: False } ssh_pwauth: True Thanks and Regards
Thread reported to moderators, since thIs has nothing to do with the vSphere SDK for Perl.
I have been searching for Velocloud images, but the server of VMware is not allowing me to download, how can I download?
Appreciate if we have some video tutorials for deploying Velo cloud SD-WAN solution in Azure .

Good day! With the help of the API, I collect data about the Package Drop and TCP RTT from vrni. Periodically, values 200% Packet Drops come. How is this possible? Here is my api json request - { "entity_type": "Flow", "filter": "source_ip.ip_address = '$ip' and destination_ip.ip_address != '52.109.*' and destination_ip.ip_address != '20.191.*'", "aggregations": [ { "field": "flow.packetDrop.ratio.average.percent", "aggregation_type": "AVG" } ], "time_range": { "start_time": '$curtime-minus-4m', "end_time": '$curtime-minus-3m' }}' Also, please tell me why the data arrives with a 15 minute delay? What additional settings need to be made?
