Hi, Yeah, I've booted the VM several times, even managed to use the preview in virtual machine library to click the right parts of the screen and reboot OS properly. Not sure if I ever completely shut it down though, I believe I only did reboots. I can't say I regret upgrading to Catalina because I didn't have any other issues since I upgraded, but I understand most of those bugs are not necessarily on the surface which makes me feel less secure to think about. Ended up upgrading Fusion anyways. Thanks, Engin

Can you elaborate "make sure you get Fusion listed in the security pane"? I installed VMWare Fusion 11.1.1 and allowed the app in security and privacy section, but it's still not listed in screen recording and didn't prompt any dialogs asking. I've been browsing this forum for a while now and the only solution seem to be working is upgrading, especially if you don't have much time. I can't define my motivation for not upgrading entirely financial. I just can't help feeling I'm paying a ransom to be able to access my work.
VMware Fusion (10.1.6) never asks for Screen Recording permissions. There is no "+" button to add anything myself either. This is so frustrating.
Thank you very much. It works now, finally. I add note how I did it, for further visitors who needs vmnetcfg too. Extract installation files by typing VMware-player-4.0.0-471780.exe /e .\vm... See more...

Hello, I've recently installed VMware Player 4.0 and can't get ip address from dhcp server when I use bridged networking. Also it doesn't work if I set the ip address manually. NAT works successfuly. I've tried reinstalling/repairing vmware player, reinstalling vmware tools, removing and installing the network card and everything but still don't have any progress. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium in my Vaio F13SFX/B. My wireless network card is Atheros AR9287 and cable network card is Marvel Yukon 88E8057. Also I figured out that I can't choose which card to use for bridge networking, I can do that in virtualbox and I've no problems with that. I'm using my wireless card all the time so is the problem might be about that? Also it was not working when I tried to use 3.1 version too so that was why I uninstalled it in the first place. Thanks.
