Thank you Paul for the incredibly detailed reply. I very much appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge. Understood on F8 will not work on Monterey. I had a look at the VMWare website and from their table showing the differences between Player and Pro, the features of Pro seem to be things I will not have much use for. We are mainly a Mac house and use Windows solely for QuickBooksPro2015. And since our needs in the accounting sphere are very modest, I am hoping to continue using QBP15 for as long as possible. I hear you on the Time Machine question. The main reason the previous iMac had a Time Machine backup was because it was getting long in the tooth and I started to be concerned about potential hard drive failure. I created the Time Machine drive to serve as a backup for when we migrated to the new machine. I will read up on the information from VMWare and look at other solutions, including Vimalin. Thanks again!

Hello. Apologies as I am not a power user. Just a small business owner using Fusion to run Windows to do accounting on QuickBooksPro 2015. I had been using an 2011 iMac for this task but recently upgraded the machine to a Late 2015 21.5 inch iMac with 2.8GHz processor, 8GB memory and Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536MB card - all running on MacOS Monterey 12.6.7 After getting the 2015 machine, I used a Time Machine backup from an external drive to import the files into the new computer.  The version of Fusion I have installed is 8.5.10 that's running Windows 10 x64. My issue is that when I start up Fusion on the 2015 iMac, I get a pop up alert that says: "Could not open /dev/vmon: No such file or directory. Please make sure that the kernel module "vmmon" is loaded" and gives an Ok button.  When I press the Ok button, another popup appears: "Failed to initialize monitor device." My presumption is that something with the transfer of files has caused this but I don't know enough about system files to really understand the issue and rectify the issue.  Any insight or solution is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
