Hi, thanks very much. I was going to answer you about this recent first post that I was going to try to install W8.1 myself in VMWare Player 17.5, instead of the W7 I was trying. (No need to do it yourself, but I really appreciate your kind help). So, anyway, you tested in Fusion that 8.1 install could be easier than W7 virtualization, right? (I understand Vm Fusion is like the Mac's version of the VMWare Player i have. Is that also right?) Many thanks again and regards.
BTW, Technogeezer, do you know if it would be easier to install a VM in Windows 8.1?

Hi all. But how can you install those updates for W7?. My W7 VM, doesn't seem to work for copying and/or installing anything. (Because precisely the issue of not having VMWare Tools installed, I tend to think). And I can't see any way to install anything other than the "Install VMWare Tools" of the menu which can't be installed. So obviously I'm missing something, but what?. To me is like a vicious circle I can't solve. Thanks and regards.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Well, I increased RAM to theoretically 24 GB. And it did improve in relation to 12 GB. But, it seems to me I would need to increase more. But which settings coould I increase on the VM to be able to increase memory without getting that "Not enough physical memory" message? Is there a way to do it with my virtual Windows XP system? On the other hand, I was thinking on installing a WVista machine, as it seems the newest system in which this Programa can run well. But, do you know how much better I can run in Vista?. Which are the limitations for it? Thanks for your attention and regards again.

Hi all. I'm using this VM Player tool for playing the Vintage Flight Simulator 98 in a new computer under a Windows XP VM. It works quite well in normal conditions, but when I load it with some traffic, I have these issues with textures. (Black áreas (CAPTURE 2) instead of normal textures (CAPTURE 1), when the amount of aircraft increase). My PC config is this one, in case it matters. (PC CONFIG) And the Configuration I have right now for the VM is the following. (VM MEMORY CONFIG) (I had started with just 12 GB under recommended 13.4 GB, and then I increased it to 24 GB, and things improved, but not enough, as I still keep on having issues.   And when I try to increase more, then the system says: (NOT ENOUGH MEMORY)   So the question is: What could I do to increase Guest memory, as it seems it allows me to have a better performance with my game? P.S: I also saw that the GUEST SCREEN CONFIG states “Textures Acceleration not Available”. Could this have something to do with the problem?. Is there a way to enable this? Thanks and regards.

Hi all. I'm new here. I post this because I wanted to get an screen appareance for the Virtual Machine that I can't get. I use VMWare to play a vintage game, Flight Simulator 98, that is best played at 1920x1080 pp. So I confiured VMWare to display at that resolution, (as the game, obviously). But I was hoping to get that in full screen Mode of the VM, the display of the VM actually covered the FULL screen. But because the host Windows 10 resolution I have is bigger 2560 x 1440, the Virtual Machine doesn't take the whole screen, as I had expected. But is there a way of running the VM (or the game, for that matter), in slower resolution (like mine 1920x1080), while make it however cover the whole screen when Maximizing, without changing the host resolution?. Thanks and regards
