It's really a shame, that VHDX support has been dropped! It was always very practical to use such discs either because they were intended for "the competitor" or because they were created with Disk2vhd for example. After the company changes/restructuring and thus uncertain future prospects in 2016, things have calmed down again. But just dropping such a feature... doesn't make you feel good about the future of VMware Workstation. Greetings, Martin

Hello, when I create a VM for Windows 7 in VMware Workstation (16.2.5) using the wizard, the recommended disk type is SCSI, which means that an F6 driver is required during installation so that the disc can be found. Is the current driver still "vmscsi-1.2.0.4.flp" from this KB or is there a more recent one? What are the disadvantages of just selecting "SATA" instead? According to this KB, regarding SSD detection, it seems even be better? Thanks and greetings, Martin
