my VMware Workstation Pro Windows 11 vm is taking hours to take a single snapshot. During this time the CPU and memory usage spike and make the machine unusable. Sometimes it simply freezes until I force a reset. I have a 2022 Lenovo P1 with an i9 and 32 gigs of ram. I originally had Hyper-V installed, but I’ve since removed it completely from my machine. I’ve also ran the power shell commands to fully remove it per a support article. How can I fix this issue? The documentation says it should only take 30-40 seconds, not several hours. I followed this KB article: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/VMware-Workstation-and-Hyper-V-are-not-compatible-Remove-the/td-p/2236562 My cpu is set to 16 processors single core, 128 gigs storage, and 16 gigs of ram. All other settings were left default. Only one disk, no CD or other peripherals. I did install the “upgrade my virtual machine” package from the workstation menu. Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI Is unchecked.
