Hi, Running WindowsXP but this issue occurs for any MSDOS configuration. I have tried many VMX settings, here are my latest: sound.present = "TRUE" sound.virtualDev = "es1371" sound.autodetect = "TRUE" sound.fileName = "-1" sound.pciSlotNumber = "34" sound.startConnected = "TRUE" I also have the MSDOS Creative128 MSDOS drivers, and when I try the following: SET SBPCI=C:\DOSDRV C:\DOSDRV\SBLOAD C:\DOSDRV\SBINIT.COM I get an error: UCPI services were not detected, PCI audio driver NOT loading. From the device manager(view resources by type) in windows, I see "(PCI) 16 Creative AudioPCI (ES1371,ES1373) (WDM)" listed as a device in the interrupt list, so the vmware program is modeling the hardware on the PCI properly. Does anyone have a clue on how to properly configure sound for MSDOS in vmware? Any help is appreciated. Long Live the Empire, Sid
