Greetings, As the title states, I have a Windows 10 Host & Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS Guest OS. I am using VMWare Player - 17.0.1 build-21139696 I also have VMware tools installed - When I try to go full screen and choose a layout, it doesn't work as expected. The VM does not go into full screen mode, it goes into a single display with scroll bars as shown below - I saw this post - https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/Ubuntu-22-4-LTS-Multi-monitor-when-cycling-results-in-sinlge/td-p/2923359 Disabling Wayland based on the recommendation would cause the VM to crash. I am at my wits end. Any help here would be appreciated. Thank you.
Disabling and then re-enabling while the VM is running solved the problem for me. Thank you!

I was unable to enable virtualization on my Windows 10 VM on a Windows 10 host. I did have virtualization enabled in the BIOS, but that didn't seem to help. When I check the box to enable this feature, Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI, I would get an error.  I want this feature enabled to run Docker in my VM. This is my system configuration: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, 4008 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) American Megatrends Inc. 1.I0, 6/26/2018 Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB Realtek High Definition Audio Killer E2400 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0 I know my computer is more than capable of running a VM with virtulization. I did some searching, and I found several powershell commands out there, and running them did not help. I did some digging and realized that not all the Windows features that prevent using virtualization were removed. I resolved this problem by doing this: Open Turn Windows features on or off. Turn off the following features: Hyper-V Virtual Machine Platform aWindows Hypervisor Platform Windows Sandbox Windows Subsystem for Linux Save and restart the computer. Open VMWare Player Select the VM and edit the VM settings Enable Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or AMD-V/RVI   Once the virtual machine is up and running, install Docker. This will require installing WSL2 in the VM. If everything is done right, Docker should start successfully. Hopefully this will help someone out there running into the same issue.

I discovered that this feature is needed to able to run Docker in my VM. This is something I find very useful because I do a lot of testing with Docker, and I don't want to do this on my host in case I manage to ruin it somehow. Being able to run Docker in my VM is so helpful. If something fails to the point where I can't recover, I can simply recreate the VM.

I am using VMWare player 16.2.2 build-19200509. I have a Windows 10 Guest VM running on a Windows 10 Host. When I make the VM fullscreen, and attempt to use multi monitor setup, certain layouts are disabled - Certain multi monitor setups are disabled   The weird thing is, I have another Windows 10 guest VM, and this VM does not have the issue. I am not sure what could possibly disable the other layouts. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! This is EXACTLY what I am looking for. Really appreciate your help!

Hello, I want to use my VM for playing older games, which are not optimized for my widescreen monitor and Windows 10. I was wondering if there is a way for me to restrict the mouse to the window of the VM. Not being able to do this really breaks some games. I read posts about this being possible in VMWare Fusion, but I am not seeing anything for VMWare Workstation Player. Is this a paid feature? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
