I had made a copy of the data folder a few weeks ago and put it on the desktop and the original folder is in my user folder. When I looked in the folder on the desktop the files were not saved. They were saved where they were supposed to be - the user folder....  My 72 year old brain just stops working sometimes.
Problem fixed. Thanks

I am running VMware 11 on a 2017 iMac running Catalina. I have a program for building webpages (Freeway Pro). I save the files and all seem ok until I go into the Freeway data folder and the files I just saved show an older date and the info on the pages saved do not match the info on the program itself...  Anyone have any ideas.   Thanks,   Ken

Found a solution to the problem... Locate a folder called "Virtual Machine" on the Mac OS side and open the folder and you should see an ex: Windows 10* 64. vm ware vm. (no spaces) Right click on the VM file Select "Show Package Content". Look for file ends with an extension .VMX (not .VMXF). Note: Make a copy of the .VMX on your desktop before you make any changes so you have a backup. Right click on the .VMX file and select open with Textedit. Scroll all the way down and add the below entries. mks.no Host Cursor = "TRUE" (no spaces between words) Click on File and select save. Go to the Mac System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy Tab > Accessibility > Select VMware Fusion and remove (minus) and re-add.

VMWare Fusion Version 11. 2017 iMac. macOS 10.14 (Mojave).  When trying to highlight text the mouse needs to be one line above what I am trying to select. I  place the cursor directly on the word or letter I need to modify, but words or letters one row down are selected. How can I get the cursor to actually highlight what I want? I do have tools installed. Thanks...

Thanks all for the replies... Interestingly I had quirt out of VMWare to do other things and research the problem further. I start VMWare a few minutes ago and checked the monitor setting in VM. I set the "Scaled High resolution" to All Views Mode. I changed that to Unity and Single Window. When I closed that out and went back to the VM window and opened the Application (Freeway - a web creation program) everything worked as it should. I could resized both the application window and the VM window. So, I thank you all for taking the time to communicate with me. I am a novice with VM, but have worked with Macintosh computers since 1984. Even worked as a Macintosh IT specialist for a company  for four years and a Macintosh Computer Support Specialist for 5 years for an elementary school. I only use VM for this one program, but there may come a time when I may need to expand that.   Again, Thanks...
I mean the window of an application within the Virtual Machine window. Yes, I do have VMWare Tools installed. Thanks.

Fusion Version 11. I have a 2017 iMac running macOS Mojave (10.14). I have installed VMWare 11 with Mojave as I have A 32-BIT application the requires Mojave. I am testing VMWare as I wish to upgrade the operating system on the host iMac. My question is this: How can I resize the application window in my virtual machine. I have tried grabbing the lower right corner, as is normal to resize window but to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions or cures g=for my problem.   Thanks
