Hi all, After the latest kernel update in the distro I use, which updated me to Kernel 6.5.4, Workstation 17 Player will not load. I get the message about needing to recompile the kernel with vmmon and vmnet (I think it was) but when I try to do this it fails. I went to the command line and ran the "sudo vmware-modconfig --console --install-all" which also failed. The only way I was able to get workstation to run was to revert back to Kernel 6.4.6. I checked for any software updates when it was running but there is nothing to update at this time. Does any one know of a work around for this, or know when there may be an updated 17 player for Linux?

Hello all,  Running Fuse 11.5.3 (can't upgrade any more due to older mac) on OS X 10.13.6  previously I have not had any issues with running my VMs in bridge mode, with autodetected on to assign my VMs a different IP from my host machine.  This morning it literally stopped working on all my VMs for no reason. No updates have happened on my VMs or my Host. If i change the setting back to "Share with my mac" I have no issues.  Does any one know if there is an interface that Fusion uses that may be corrupt that i can remove and have it rebuild? I've tried removing network interfaces from a few VMs and re-adding and nothing worked.  My next step will be to reinstall (and hope i don't loose any settings on my VMs) but before I go that route wanted to see if any one has experienced this and had an easy solve. I have rebooted VMs and Host several times already (complete power off).  thanks

Thanks. I didn't buy pro. I should have done the research up front, I need to be able to setup up dual home networks on a few machines to test some security settings. So yeah, I'll have to just use VirtualBox for what I need on this one. Also, yes, sorry on VPN, I was typing that from my phone in a hurry, understand a VPN in the traditional sense is not the same as virtual network creation/customization.

I am trying to create a virtual private network in Fusion 11 (on Mac 10.13.6) to do some security testing. My personal internal network range is a 10.x.x.x. I'm trying to create a virtual network to attach a machine to on the 192 range. I am trying to test some security setups. I know in VirtualBox this is very easy to do, and I would have assumed Fusion would have had this, but when I search help, it tells me to go to Fusion -> Preferences -> network. however in my preferences, I don't have network. I only have General, Keyboard & Mouse, Display, Default Applications, Feedback.  Is there no way to set up a virtual private network for the virtual machines in Fusion 11? My laptop is too old to upgrade the VMware software any further and I'd rather not go back to virtualbox after paying for Fusion.    thanks!
